I was suppose to attend the Scotland game but I will be at church tonight, then I am heading straight to the beach with the wife

What a game!! Both teams played their hearts out and it literally almost came down to who has the ball last. You think East wins when they go up 7 with 2:01 to go, but South goes all the way down the field and score, then go for 2 and so it's over right?? East gets the ball with 50 45 seconds and gets to around the South 20-25 yard line before turning it over on downs. WOW, that is what high school football is all about. It's a shame both teams can't move on but only one can advance. Hats off to a very talented and hard-nosed East Bladen football team, what an effort. Very proud of the Stallions for hanging in there and getting the win. Go Stallions!!
This will be the second time in school history that the eastern final is played at SC. First time was in 2007 when the Stallions beat NS Jax 8-3 to go to state.
3rd time, we lost to Clinton in early 2000's. I remember that game because Clinton fumbled the ball early in the game inside there own 10 and Worley picked it up and was crossing the goal line when the ref blew the play dead. I think we loss 10-0 that year and Clinton loss to Burlington Cummings the following weekend in the state title game.
My 9th grade year Clinton STOLD one in Tabor City and I do mean that in every sense of the word... this SC team isn't the best that's made it this far but they do have heart .... and wait a min I thought that northeastern team couldn't be beat? Oh well we will line em again Friday night
For the ones saying it was the best high school football they ever been to Y'all missed some good ones ... SWO AT South in 03 hardest hitting game I've ever seen on this level ...
Ok. I'll put it in the top 3 then with the dramatic comeback lol. No doubt some good games in 03.
The best game to me was the '07 eastern title game against Joe Womack and NS Jax. Womack was a D1 athlete and a threat every time he touched the ball, but he was swarmed by Stallions all night. Our D was one of the best I've seen that year.
First Congrats to the Stallions. I told early in the week it was going to be a barnburner and it was There was totally to many athletes on the field out there by both teams. E. Bladen will just reload and be in the thick of things again next year. Next year we really be a thier in S.Columbus side, you can count on it. We know y'all will be loaded as well. We will see you next year. E. Bladen come close to continuing the curse. Good luck next week and represent the Southeastern part of our state.

Must of forgot about the game with Whiteville in 04 where we came back from 21 down with 2:07 left in the 4th to win the game at home.... gotta be the best comeback
This. I was there. It was 3-0 and we pick up a fumble and run it in for a TD. The Refs have a pow-wow and say that one of them accidently blew the play dead. Totally dishearted our kids. Clinton went on to score a late TD but whenever I see Jesus I feel confident telling him that had the Refs not CHEATED us that night the final would have been 6-3 or 8-3 Stallions. We didn't have a kicker that year.
They had Donte Paige-Moss on that team as well. Looked like a man playing with boys. Went to UNC as a 5* recruit and ended up a knucklehead or he would be in the NFL right now.
That was heck of game,I had went to car on way home,turned radio on and Dean Ward said SC just scored again what a come back that year.
Shame to have this happen during a great football game.

The robbery actually happened at E.Bladen at their field house. That's what I was told anyways. This story is somewhat misleading.
Well SCStallions, if you don't believe bladenonline, how about WWAY? Don't know who your sources are, but I was at about the 20 yardline when Coach Priest went running toward the locker room because the kids were upset. Read this link carefully.

The locker room and come out with that much stuff there's no way out but to walk back around the concession stand thru a crowd of people back thru the metal detectors there's only one way in and out the other gates are always locked... someone had to notice something... this is very strange if it did happen at south
Plus I never known taken stuff like that with you to an away game when I was in school you changed and left everything at your field house but that was along time ago

I apologize jpc, A friend shared the wway story on Facebook and I questioned it because the story is misleading and was told by several people that it happened at E.Bladen. I just read the bladenonline story and shows where the report was filed with Columbus County sheriffs dept. Again I apologize, I was not at the game so I had no clue. It's very sad that someone would do this. I hope they find out who done and get the max penalty of the law!!! I despise a damn thief!!!!!
That's sad. One of the East Bladen fans said that this has happened to them three times now. Maybe at Clinton and at a home game too???? That sounds like an inside job to me. Theres more to the story than whats being reported. And with the entry door locked and no forced entry, how does this happen? Maybe the WWAY and WECT needs to get the other side of the story and stop giving one high school community the black eye. Again that's terrible journalism.
From what I was told, the same accusations about theft happened when the E. Bladen team went and lost at Clinton, also at a home game in Etown and now at the South Columbus game. I'm not Matlock or Perry Mason, but this has all the ingredients of someone from within their own team/mgrs. or ect. Next, if it had happened already twice in a 10 game season, I would for sure take extreme measures to guard against it happening again and for one, my personnel belongings would have been with someone trustworthy. Now it happens a 3rd time????? East Bladen brought 4 police officers with them to the game. What was their purpose? To watch the game or provide security. I was also told from reliable sources that reports of MP3's, tennis shoes and iphone were taken, while when players exited the locker room to leave, no player wore cleats home or came out barefooted. Some even had headphones on while walking out. When one was asked about his iphone, it was offered to help with the find my iphone app and suddenly the urgency to locate changed. I am just not sure about these accusations, and if I am wrong, let me be the first to apologized. I just hope that if the story is different from what is being reported, that the news media will make sure they do a recant of the previous story told and truth is revealed. Praying that the thieves get caught!
WECT news had a 6 minute special piece on this at 6 pm. Story about EB season and how it came to sad ending. Seems to me kids should not want to carry all the stuff they said they had. If it happened it is sad day in county. I been to a lot of games there over the years,don't understand how this could happen with 4 cc deputies right at concession stand all night and someone at side doors all night. Just saying,if this happened hope they get the people or person that did this. No place for this anywhere.
Let me inform some of you about locker room security. To start with the host team is responsible for locking up the dressing rooms when teams depart to go out on the field to play before the game and may unlock them at halftime if either team desires to use their respective locker rooms at that time, if so after halftime is over they are relocked by the host team once again and then remain that way until the game is over. At no time is a visiting coach or a team manager have personal access to a key. The officials dressing room the same way. The last 12 or 15 years that Coach Lenon Fisher was the head coach I know who the person who was the person who had that responsibility to make sure all locker rooms were kept secured. It was I who had that job and to my knowledge we never lost a thing during that time. If any of you had any doubts about where the theft took place last Friday night, why didn't you go to the Stallions head Coach Russell Dove, he knew that it was being investigated by the Columbus County Sheriff's department less than 20 minutes after it was reported. But some of you want sound off as if it was E, Bladen was at fault or it was a complete sham. This kind of burns me up a little bit that you all wouldn't try to get the real facts of the reported incident.. Regardless who is responsible for this act, there had to be more than one involved in removing all that was taken. I'm sure you all think that no one in your midst at S. Columbus is capable of this, just like I hope there is no one from E.Bladen is capable of it either. We can both be fooled. In this day and time there a thief lurking around every corner. We will see ya next year.
It really is a shame phantom, nobody wants to believe they have a thief among them no matter what community they are from. Unfortunately South Columbus and East Bladen communities have thieves. Both our schools fans and boosters have lots of pride for our teams and communities and it's a shame that some lowlife can put a negative twist of something that so many of us work so HARD to make positive each and every year. Don't let some thief come between the respect we have both earned for each of FAIR AND SQUARE on the football field. The character of the kids is evident in the report by WECT, fine young men. Can't wait to continue our rivalry next year!!
Bottom line is this... if it's really happened to y'all 3 different times ... there's something fishy going on ... trust me there is thieves everywhere no place is special and was bless not to have them ... I'm sorry this happen to Y'all again.
