Div I Offers Pouring in for Reidsville Freshman Harrison

I don’t know the direction this guy will go. And I hope the best for him. But looking at some of the tallest players in the NFL. There was a list of them going from 6-7 to 7 foot being the tallest. Ed “Too tall” Jones being at 6’ 9. But sounds like Reidsville is going to be something to watch in the future with this young man.

I just checked MaxPreps. He is listed at 6'8" and it seems he has averaged 25 points and 14 rebounds in the first 3 games. I would say those are pretty good numbers for a freshman on varsity. Lol

IF that is correct I expect he will be playing hoops in college. Reidsville folks want to make sure he does not head off to a private to play hoops.

Reidsville freshman point guard also is a prolific point guard and could potentially go to the private school level. I think both are still exploring football options right now. Harrison just got a penn state football offer as seen in this thread

Hes playing center at Reidsville which isn’t helping his development in basketball unless he keeps growing. Right now football is his best option. 6’6-6’7 players are a dime a dozen in the basketball ball world.

Virtually every high school player his height will be playing center in high school.

Yeah in 1A 2A and 3A level. Not in the private school sector. The best Private schools that recruit got true centers. He a freshmen right now so he will may grow into a true center. But right now he’s playing out of position because he’s playing on the 2A level at a public school.

He doesn’t necessarily have to play center. Landon Denny is about 6’5 and can play center

Well if he stops growing he’s not going to develop playing center At a public school.
Maybe you don't understand that these players compete in far more AAU games than high school games and its in those AAU games where they play the position they will play in college and build their reputations.

Playing center in high school will have zero effect on his future.

I agree the high school games mean very little in recruitment. I hope he stays at Reidsville and gets good advice on which sport he chooses

Unless Kendre hits a growth spurt and gets to 6'10" or so, football will be his future. And apparently a lot of college coaches feel that way as well.

There are very few 6'6" or 6'7" centers or power forwards at the next level. And unless he develops an outside shot which he currently does not have, he would not be able to play small forward.

I always thought Breon Pass's best future was at corner back in football where he is big enough and quick enough for that position. He really does not handle the ball good enough and is not a consistent enough shooter to play as a point guard in college. And he is just not tall enough to play the 2 guard. But that was his choice to make and I hope everything works out for him at NC State or elsewhere.

Yea I thought he made a mistake when he chose basketball over football.

I agree, Breon seems really happy though so that is good.

Kendre will likely be a 4 star recruit, 3 star at minimum in football. I think he will get some basketball offers, but the football offered seem like they are too good to pass up

I wish he would have played football or both, but understand why he choose basketball. I just hate that he is only getting 9.1 minutes a game. It's like Keatts has given up on him. I wonder if transferring is in his future.

What insight do you have that either kid would go private school route?

Ugh, 3 star or 4 star recruits do not get offers when they are a freshman. Think 5 star and top 5 at either tight end of defensive end.

I was thinking 5 star, but I just didn’t want to say it yet. But he’s heading that direction

Kendre shared a screenshot on his twitter of some recruiting site called "Deuce Recruiting" that had him as the top tight end recruit for 2026, as well as the number 47 recruit overall. He was also listed as a 4-star recruit but that could easily go up, especially since I believe he's a better defensive prospect than offensive as the moment, but things could change.
