Has anyone seen the format for this year? There are seven teams in each bracket with the host school getting a first-round bye. It looks like some teams will be playing three games while others play two. Very confusing.

The tourney is Dec. 27-29. Providence Grove and Ledford are hosting.

I agree and also add a lot of these teams will play each other in conference play or play each other non conference.

On the girls side....

AT PG, it'll probably be Randleman vs. SW Randolph in the final. The first-round game between SWR and South Davidson could be really good.

At Ledford........this one is way more interesting. All of those first-rounders will be competitive. Not sure who wins this one. Wheatmore's pretty good, Trinity's vastly improved, Lexington's good, Uwharrie Charter's not bad, Ledford's good. And Davie County has entered the tournament. Not sure about them.

On the guys side....

At PG, the top half of the bracket is very interesting. Randleman vs. Thomasville will be fun. So should SWR vs. S Davidson. Not sure who wins this one. I think it'll either be Randleman, Asheboro, Thomasville, or SW Randolph.

At Ledford, I think the semi's will be Trinity-Davie Co. and Uwharrie-Ledford. Not sure what happens beyond that. I do predict that the winner of Trinity-DC will beat the Uwharrie-Ledford winner.
