Thomasville played In Robbinsville back in 1999,a playoff game, and it was bone chilling cold,I laughed my butt off watching my friend try and smoke a cigarette while his hand was shaking violently, driving through those mountains I thought I was looking at the stars, turned out to be houses way up in them there hills

Clinton at Elizabeth City in I think 05’

School closed early that day because of snow. Custodians we’re there early when we arrived breaking up ice on bleachers. Wind was blowing like 30mph. Coldest I’ve been in my life.

I was at that Farmville game. It was cold. Morris foreman ran all over yall that night. Yal were good tho

Any mountain team for us here on coast. Especially in late November.
Ashe County…..2014…..by far the coldest game ever! Temp was 16 on my truck thermometer when I arrived. A constant flag shredding wind of 30 mph throughout the entire game!

Most of the old timers from Maiden say Alleghany ….early ‘70’s…..I was there as well…and it was bitter cold….but not even close to the Ashe county game!

Just a handful of those Old timers…went to Ashe county….regrettably…I was one of ‘em!

West Columbus went to team in mountains in I 🤔 no 2008 near Georgia,SC,NC triangle. Hell it was so far I don't even remember school name. It was cold 18 at half. Our guys could not even play on that weather.

2017 Clinton @ First Flight
I skipped the NE game to go see this game by Jockeys Ridge on the OBX. The wind was blowing so hard and it was freezing cold, Clinton squeaked out a win that night in a closely contested game

2017 1aa state championship game between tarboro and Mount Airy. Played in heavy snow and very cold conditions. Had on three coats, a long sleeve shirt, t-shirt, flease pants, and boots😂 and was still cold

As a fan I would say going back 1997 to the 4th rd of the Bandys vs Shelby playoff game. Temperatures falling in the upper 20s at the start of the game with blowing wind. The place was packed and I don’t think I moved all night during the game. Lol

I'm much older Reidsville fan than you guys but the coldest Reidsville game (and there have been quite a few) that I personally witnessed was the playoff game that Reidsville played at Elkin in 1969......at game time the temp. clock in downtown Elkin read 21 degrees and the wind howled all nite long off that river......frigid....."The Mule" can testify to this....he was there as well............

That was a cold one too.

1976 Clinton at Pisgah for the 3A Stste Championship. Pisgah won.
Wiz my dad played in that game and he said the guys wore panty hose to try and stay warm. There was no under armour cold gear back then.

That was also the infamous “close line” game. Idk if any of Pisgah old timers can comment but the jist of it is….Pisgah had the game won, they pick off a pass as time expires and runs down our sideline heading for a TD only seeking to add insult to injury when out of nowhere a Clinton player on the bench takes a step onto the field and close lines the guy leading to a fight at end of regulation lol.

A few years back Polk played at Mt Heritage and it was 26 and the field was iced over on the sides and mud in the middle.

I remember us wearing panty hose for a game in 76. I'm not sure but I don't think we made the playoffs. We went 8-3 which was West Cravens first winning season.
Coldest game as a fan was at Burlington Williams. Wind blowing. Getting blown out by a really good Williams team didn't help either. We had Jesse Campbell and George Koonce.

Ol I forgot about the 2016 game ..... when I got back in my car it said 17 degrees. That year y’all won a state title every game was really cold that year. Can’t remember what game but it rained ,snowed , and iced all in the same game ... and I won the half and half so it was worth it 😂

I went to the restroom at half… both restrooms had people(men and women) stacked 5 deep in each restroom because they were heated restrooms.
Imagine how humbling it was… to use an urinal with an audience!
Of course… that pales in comparison to my request…of that audience….to help me negotiate the 6 zippers…before I stepped up to the plate!😂

Go! Braves!
