Clinton vs Smithfield-Selma Listen Live

Well I guess I answered my own question I see some other area teams moving games up to Thursday so tomorrow night probably going to be better than Friday as far as weather goes

Postponed till Monday....kinda sucks short week to prepare for Northside Jax

Northside's biggest threats are their two WR's and the QB. The WR's are both about 6'3 to 6'4 and will provide matchup problems for Clinton's secondary. Also the QB is a scrambler, have to account for him also, but I think our boys can do the job.

Dang 6'3 and 6'4.....don't think anyone in our secondary is over 6 feet tall lol.....well Tyion Wright cancels one of them out he is a great DB....could have one of the LBs spy the QB something we should of did against Bunn when their QB was killing us.....think we will be fine from what I heard Jacksonville had a lot of success running the ball against them....and they are barely beating Jville who struggled against SWO.....both teams have a short week Northside has to finish the game against Jville pon Monday

The way those posters are talking on the other thread, you'd think Jacksonville and Northside can't be beat lol! As long as we can move the ball and control the clock, we can win. Looking at the highlights from the Northside/Jacksonville game, a couple of those Northside touchdowns came from the QB just throwing the ball out there for a jump ball.

Have the other safety help over the top against the other big WR and that should help on the other side....I hope they do try to throw it against Tyion Wright he will make plays on the ball(interception).....gotta have a good pass rush Prentice and company will have to really get after it....I'm sorry I don't see any team and I mean any team running the ball on us with much success

Its going toi be a good game it always is when both teams are good I really looking forward to it....North side has our number the last couple meetings but they been beating up on weaker Clinton teams since 2006......I remember losing a heartbreaker to them my senior year at their place 13-9...then coming back in the playoffs and beating them in the eastern championship 25-0 best feeling ever

That's true, NS was beating us in our leaner years, but conferences changed by the time we regrouped and got stronger. Just thought of something...with the exception of SWO, we have basically played 3A and 4A teams in non-conference this year. I know NS is 2A this year, but they have 3A enrollment and will be 3A next year.

Yes I feel good about this upcoming game and the one after that against Hoggard....seems Hoggard has a problem stopping the run

Darkhorse, you have been focused on Hoggard all summer ... I'm guessing you guys would love to take down a 4A school;). Hoggard has been prone to give up big plays (gave up several last night from what I read), but the Vikings offense is pretty good and have been putting points up this year. Could be a high scoring game and a big game for Skinner unless Hoggard's defense improves.

Hoggard was once of the few teams we lost to last year, so looking for some revenge lol!

Yes that was a heartbreaking lost feel the young offensive line made way too many mistakes in the 2nd half looking for some revenge

Let's take care of Monday first, then worry about Friday. Let's not come out flat against Triple-S.

If Hoggard has trouble with the run they're in big trouble against the DarkHorses who have a whole stable of really good running backs not just Skinner and don't underestimate the DarkHorse defense.which I think may be amazing!

That's exactly what happened. Jacksonville dominated Northside. A jump ball with a 6'4 receiver against a 5'9 DB who wins that one 9 out of 10
