Looks like NE padded there stats against another trash team tonight..lol just kidding. Gonna be a barn burner next week, Clinton fought hard and went down with class. Just not sure how on earth did they almost beat ya'll.
Baller we had 6 starters out and we had to play reserves who wasnt ready. For the spotlight,buy oh boy they was on point tonight ... Next week its gonna be a tme in NE.. Wallace played scary good tonight that dfense is the crucial ...
LOL, there were no takers. I offered 28 points. Does anybody want to know my prediction next week? I'm taking all offers, and I will be at the game one hour before kickoff
I am perplexed as to how this Clinton offense scored 22 points on Wallace and 21 on East Duplin.
Congratulations to Northeastern tonight on the win. They were simply the best team hands down Freshwater was impressive, he was the difference offensively on the big plays but what really impressed me was Northeastern’s Defense. The DarkHorse offense shot themselves in the foot a few times on a couple wide open passes which most likely would have been td’s and then the 2nd half opening possession the Horses driving (using up 1st 7 min of the 3rd qtr) the ball to inside the 1 yard line only to jump offside backing themselves in eventually to thee 13 and coming away with nothing but give NE credit they capitalized on the DarkHorse’s mistakes and that’s what good teams do and overall they played good team defense and that’s what championships are made of. Also, they were much more physical than I anticipated. Simply said and I’m not tooting anyone’s horn here-but they are a really good ball club. I have seen over many years many great teams (not just DarkHorse teams) and I wouldn’t put them in great status yet but they could be and they’re nearing that threshold. They are well coached. As to the much anticipated WRH vs NE matchup, I’ll be honest I’m pulling for WRH (ECC) but the Digs better bring their A game, but both teams will have their hands full. If it were in WRH I’d go but I’m not traveling to the Northeastern NC 3 weeks in a row but it should be a very interesting game.
To WRH fans who want to go early and eat some really good food go to the EC waterfront and eat at Groupers. EXCELLENT. Not cheap but not terribly expensive but with it. I had Macadamia nut crusted grouper with salsa. Good!!!
And finally who said it was going to be warmer this week??? There was no wind thank goodness but it was 36 degrees and clear but a damp coldness. Great field and stadium conditions though.

Clinton fans you guys should thank one of your coaches for inspiring our players and staff by coming into our lobby and making the statement that the Eagles are way overrated...this comment was heard by players and staff, and used as a motivation tool to make a statement...a shut out... When did that happen, I haven't heard about this. I do know the key NHS players are following these threads, I received a message earlier from one of their fathers while he was texting me score updates. NHS didn't take the ditchwater joke very well, per Mr Thomas
ill tell you how they did it on East Duplin. the first TD they scored was early in the game on a long TD pass. then we shut them down the rest of the game until about 5 minutes left.
Coach put our 2nd string defense in. Clinton then scored 2 TD's in quick succession. would have never happen if Coach hadnt done the classy thing and took the starters out. no offense to Clinton fans but a more realistic score as to how that game went would have been like 48-7 or so.

dirtybird88, did you hear this? I don't believe it occurred. I know the coaches and none of them would have said this. The oldest fake motivational tool in the book. Not going to get in a pissin contest about it but the reason I don't believe it occurred, is that NE didn't need something like that, They were good enough without something like that and they knew it and played like it. That's fan speak but if you want to believe it to make you feel better than go ahead. I seriously doubt it.We got beat but we know better.

Clinton had a rebuilding year this year obviously. Still proud of the fight showed by many in all games. It was only three years ago that we beat East Duplin 48-3 and Holley begged to get out of the series. He said they were having to play James Kenan, WRH, & Clinton to start the season and couldn't handle that schedule at the time. Good luck to everyone the rest of the way!
That was the game right there. Would have been 14-7 and who knows what could have happened then. That's the story!!
They probably still would of won but thats just the way this season has gone....dating back to the first game vs Cape Fear we have it almost in thr redzone 3rd and 2 boom false start....later in that game same thing deep in Cape Fear territory believe we got a hold or something.....against Wallace tie game we are driving good drive crossing mid field boom fumble....this team could never get out of our own way....but looking back we were severely out coached Lewis still set in his ways he gonna run that dive on first down everytime no matter how many guys in the box....no point on dwelling on it now over and done with im excited bout what next season could hold we have alot coming back should be fun

Y'all enjoy playing us and talking shit when we're down but want no part of us when we're beating your ass. It happened in the early 2000's when we went to a different conference and Jerry Hunter said, "We'll never schedule Clinton in anything again".
