Field in tough shape from the sound of things.....evening the playing field sounda like we going have to grind this one out
Clinton is beating East Bladen with the pass i think we threw more passes on this drive then we have all season.........Clinton fumbles away a scoring opportunity.....i said it before turnovers in a game like this.....huge
Clinton throws a interception it gets return to the 30 then a penalty pushes it to the 15......Eagles score on pass play PAT good East Bladen 7 Clinton 6......Clinton will go into the halftime trailing for the first time this year
Everyone overlooked this game and called for a blowout i warned yall.......looks like we in for a dogfight
People thought i was wrong i told yall dont overlook this game yes Clinton has shot themselves in the foot with countless penalties and two turnovers one in scoring position but still anytime Clinton plays in Elizabethtown throw the records out the window......resilience is a virtue of a true champion we will see how we respond
Clinton gets a safety!!!!!! Clinton 14 East Bladen 7.........refs in discussion......now they are calling it a touchback?????......but they let the kid return it instead of calling it dead like they should in NC high school football......wow looks like the Bunn officials are back smh
Another Clinton turnover thats 3 to 0 cant win close games like this turning the ball over......defense has been called on alot tonight they continue to hold
Clinton runner fumbled but it looked like the runner was down..... now Clinton intercepts the ball but they call interference...... yeah i stand by my previous statement these officials are horrible

This is why you have to blow teams out cause when the game is in the hands of the boys in zebra stripes you get these results....dont get me wrong we have made plenty of mistakes but some of these calls wow smh
Final 19-7 Clinton wins....first off hats off to East Bladen hell of a effort any team thats overlooks them is wrong.....im not evem gonna talk on the officiating anymore just know in all my time playing watching and listening to football have i seen a crew seriously try and take a game from a team.....we shot ourselves in the foot more than a couple times but this officials were horrible im done
Those officials were HORRIBLE!!!! Messing up spotting the ball, allowing the clock to run when it shouldn't, and calling pass interference when there clearly wasn't any. Oh, did I mention that safety that they did not give to Clinton??
Sure would like to here from East Bladen fans. Sure glad refs didn't decide the winner. Real good teams seems to pull out games like this one.
Dont get me wrong East Bladen defense played a goos game the field condition was a factor aswell and Clinton turned the ball over 4 times 1 fumble was questionable as many believed the runner was down.....but the safety call that was reversed to a touchback???? I mean how do u explain that in NC HS football if its a touchback the play is dead right away on this play the runner was allowed to return the ball....im willing to bet if the runner would of scored a TD they would not of reversed that call.....
Look for Clinton to possible drop in the state rankings after Lincolnton picked up a really good win against East Lincoln and Reidsville beat 4A NW Guilford pretty good.....but running the table is the goal not our rank.....Dont know what Hurricane Matthew is going to do Clinton will be home next two games against Sampson County rivals Midway and Union
I wouldn't be surprised to see East Lincoln in the western final at least. Rankings are just for fun. Nobody cares the next year who was ranked where. Nobody remembers anybody but the guys with rings. Never been to Clinton, been to Wallace and Burgaw. Maybe some day when coming from Carolina Beach I can see the best name in high school, Darkhorses.
If you never been to a game i highly recommend it....alot of history on that field alot of pride and tradition....beautiful campus Coach Lewis does a great job keeping that field in top condition
Question for Clinton Faithful.....I know QB/DB Kris Williams(Clause)is a really good basketball player but i think he ahould start getting some looks for football especially as a defensive back at the next level 5 inta in 6 games 1 returned for a TD he made the play of the game tonight
East played about as good as they could play on defense. Offensively, they have some work to do. Clintons defense is the best I've seen in a while. Held EB to 50 yards. Clinton hurt themselves with turnovers and penalties.
To address the officials, they were very inept. The kickoff in question should have called dead. kid caught it in the end zone. Pass interference was questionable and I wasn't sure about the fumble. I couldn't tell if he was down or not. Spotting the ball was an issue but balls were being changed every few plays so that may have had something to do with that.
Field conditions were what they were. Both teams had to play in it.
Other than a couple of missed opportunities on a couple of long passes, one right before the int, EB really had nothing going on offensively.
Hats off to Clinton, they were better than us, but they will have to limit the penalties and turnovers. I also like your punter and kicker. He does a good job.

To try and save face offensively we had more turnovers in this game tonight than we had all year....penalties too
Ok, I was at the game. The field was wet and muddy, but both teams had to deal with it. The refs were not very good at all and from the Dark Horse sideline, they seemed be enjoying home cooking. But the things that stuck out for me tonight were: 1, Our defense is very, very good and I don't think anyone can run up the middle on us. 2, East Bladen is a very good team (and they don't quit). 3, We made way too many mental mistakes on the offensive side of the ball (but I'm sure the coaches will address this). 4, Our coaches really do a very good job adjusting to situations. 5, We have atleast 4-6 kids that should be seriously considered for the next level. 6, When you can play "not your best" football and still win against a quality team in crappy conditions - that says a lot. 7, We can run on anyone (so far) and all of our backs are capable of taking it to the house at anytime. 8, All these kids have heart. Finally, 9, We have really good fans that love and support these kids. Go Horses!!!
Just a note about the defense. They have only given up 37 points through 6 games! WOW!!!
Sometime you just have to win ugly! Yes both teams had to play on that field but it was impossible to make a cut running. I walked across it after the game and it was green but with every step you'd sink 4 inches. Actually never seen a turf field do that but they've had a whole lot of rain in Bladen Count a whole lot. The DarkHorse defense only gave up 50 yards offense and most of that was on 1 pass play. Thank goodness we have a player like #40 Smith who can just bulldoze straight ahead . I've heard players like that characterized as "muddlers" You need a "mudder" "bulldozer" at a time like this!

I think he's just a junior but you're right he would make a fine DB at the next level
I have to disagree with you on POG , I say it's out fullback Smith. He was steadily plowing throughout the evening. Coach Robinson would call him a "muddier" You need a "mudder" on a night like tonight and we've got one!!!!

Who cares about ratings, We know we've got one of the best teams in the state and the ratings will take care of themselves come playoff time.
