Thanks for the warm thoughts about Graham Phillips. I used to play a lot of tennis over in Clinton. I know , love and respect a lot of Clinton people. I have a hard time forgetting about those hecklers that would sit over on your visitors side for years. Sometimes if I was standing in the end zone at the dog pound those hecklers would show up there. Even been to Clinton / ED games and they were there also. Never felt welcomed as a fan over there. I know when Clinton comes to the pound, ya'll are welcomed for the quality of football ya'll usually bring and the fact that ya'll are neighbors. Maybe I shouldn't stereotype,but many times they have ruined the atmosphere on Friday night. I know others have felt the same way. Hopefully I can leave that in the past,but we'll see 11/4. Where will that arrogance be if ya'll lose. Sometimes the best teams don't always win championships
Back to the game tomorrow night looking forward to it should be a good one.....wet conditions holding onto the ball will be key....I believe it rained all week before the game last year aswell
Yep, we played on Saturday but if I remember correctly the field was in pretty good shape. I doubt EBHS field will be completely dried out by kickoff tomorrow. Could possibly play again on Saturday.
Ya'll would not have won the 1aa last year. That win last year in your house with all ya'lls royalty there was awesome ! Should of, could of , would of. The dogs have done pretty well in conference. Can't help school size. The Dogs always schedule larger schools out of conference. Oh. Laney is probably better than Hoggard from what I saw.
Laney has never been good in football, basketball yes football no. Guess what after that 35-7 whupping in 2014 you would have had no chance against Shelby,no chance.
Remember that score on Nov 4th 35-7. As for the 1AA title last year why would Clinton even want to play in it? They played in 2AA
Whelp holding on the ball will be key....making cuts may be difficult...and i doubt the ball will be in the air much if any at all which is realy nothing new with these teams....3 yards and a cloud of dust....well splash the way the weather is this week
Turned out ya'll had no chance against Shelby either in 2014. Should of could of, would of. So, what your saying is Shelby would not have a chance against ya'll because they are not a big boy football team (2a). Clinton would not have wanted to play in 1aa because WRH was in it. This is meant for those arrogant, big headed,haven't won a championship in ten years that think they are football Gods.
dogs79, sounds like you have a lot of anger about your football. Maybe some disappointments. I'm sure 2014 was a disappointment when the DarkHorses beat your 1AA. Champions 35-7. Look we're just glad the DarkHorses are really good this year. Don't expect you to like it. The Horses will show you Nov 4th then you can go win your 1AA championship again. See y the 11/4! Gonna be fun!
I have a lot of respect for that 2014 team that kicked our tails in the dog pound. I just think this years team has not proved anything yet, and I didn't see that "better team" against Hoggard. Maybe a better backfield, but not better o line or d line. And sometimes it's hard to live up to expectations. I have no anger about my football.Except fantasy team ! I have only been disappointed in one bulldog team and was one year we gave up in the playoffs against Farmville Central. Bulldogs are still conference champs until 11/4,when 2016 championship will be decided. I promise I will not be disappointed because Our Dogs will not give up. Win or Loose WRH will be the best team ya'll play this year. But only because you'll won't play Shelby. SHELBY, SHELBY, SHELBY little 2a school
Not that it matters. I always pull for Clinton unless they are playing ED, JK, or WRH. Some fans make it hard though. I think everyone has a lot of respect for Coach Lewis. One of the best ever ! Clinton 42 EB 6
Hearing its a good chance this game may not be played Friday due to the weather......hearing the Wallace at West Bladen game is being moved to Wallace cause of flooding in Bladen county......any one hearing anything about these games tomorrow????
Wiz how about the time when your 2A champions got beat 34-3 at Darkhorse Stadium by a little 1A school.
How about we leave the trash talk till the week of November 4....till then we have East Bladen tomorrow or maybe Saturday the way the weather has been.....JV game been moved to Monday
Wiz, if you really think this years game will be like 2014 (35-7 or maybe worse) you are misinformed about this WRH team. Wallace's defense is very good and the offense is getting better all the time. As of right now I would have Clinton slightly favored in the game but if you think it's going to be 35-7 or worse that tells me you don't know as much as you think you do about the dogs.
This years version of the Dark Horse football team has the potential to be very special. They seem to have the heart to go with their obvious talent. The coaching is sound. The talent is across the board. I hope and pray that there are no injuries to any player (not just Clintons). I don't know if they will be better than any preious teams but they do have the potential to be. I also know that fans from any other school are certainly welcome at Dark Horse stadium and we appreciate the fact that they support their kids as we support ours. Go Horses!
And who will be the best team y'all play this year? Please don't insult our intelligence by saying some 1AA playoff team

thanks Old Sarge, 5thats the way we feel. The season is just approaching mid-season, a lot of football left to be played, I think though as you said this could be a very special team and it'll be fun to see how it plays out. One thing we do know, you don't have to go undefeated to win a state championship. Running the table at any level is very difficult

In a effort to help Wiz out....who remembers the 2004 game at the dogpound??? Wallace heavily favored comes out to a live rock band....Clinton wins 31-24 i believe....Nick Cooper's coming out party as a sophomore and big #40 Oynx Martin had a great game to.....reminds me of Jaylen Smith this year
In regards to the 2014 game Clinton played a absolutely perfect game in all aspects me as a fan was surprised by the margin and im sure im not the only one.....i think Wallace may have been dealing with some complacency they were #1 in the state undefeated beat everyone they had played pretty good so im sure they were alil shell shocked.....i dont expect that this year im sure Coach Price wont let that happen
But until then we still have business to handle starting with East Bladen who i feel like alot of us are overlooking cause we are so ready to play the Bulldogs lol.....EB is still one of the most consistent programs in 2A east and a big time rival so we better be ready
According to East Bladen AD, the game is to be played as scheduled, tonight at 7:00.
Sadly now with this being moved to saturday ill miss it going to Myrtle beach for the weekend......ill listen to it though

Pender beat Midway tonight according to WECT......well look whos finally climbing out of the cellar.......thought Midway would be alil better than what they are......tough times in Spiveys Corner....im guessing thats why Mike Kramer got the hell out of dodge and transferred to Clinton
