North Brunswick made the return trip to Clinton high last night....both Clinton boys and girls were victorious...girls won 58-46....while the boys won 79-57 both teams improve to 3-1 back in action Thursday at Lakewood

How are Clinton's teams this year. Should they be a deep playoff team in both boys and girls?

Clinton has athletes. Not as athletic like last years team, but not many teams are. Needless to say last years team may have been best Clinton team there has ever been, should’ve won title but won’t get into that. New Coach this year. Coach Ron Davis comes over from middle school. Has good relationships with his kids. He won the middle school championship every year he was there, only lost a few games, but this is high school and he would even tell you, it’s a whole different animal. Clinton is 3-1 currently. Defensively they are aggressive. Ironically this team may run zone some this year out of need, whereas last year we could go straight man on anyone but for some reason ran zone a lot. Offensively they are still searching for their identity, but have some shooters. Not a tremendous amount of size, but tough. This team will compete for a conference title, interesting to see how they grow as season progresses, one thing is for sure, the kids, fans and community are behind this team and Coach Davis. Go horses!

Both teams have potential and will probably contend for conference championships still too early to tell if deep playoff runs are in the cards......Boys team watch out for seniors Cameron Lawson and Jalen Owens to pace the team offensively.....Girls team the always reliable Ashlyn Williams 4 year stater has that championship level experience and leadership but they may have another ringer in the form of sophomore 5'11 G Isa Banks....Banks dropped 26 last night
