I don't think he was going to have a problem getting offers. Any offers right now are coming from camps and KM tape. Maybe good to have a lesser role headed into college with less wear and tear on the body and injury risk.
Looks like Kings Mountain will be looking for a new OC. Bolton to Rock Hill as their OC.
If so, call Beam,lol. I know some people think he wouldn't be allowed back in the county, but some think otherwise.
If they do. They better hide their wives.
I heard Tyler Morgan the big receiver @ Shelby left for Ashbrook.

Not so fast. KM has a potential home run candidate for OC. KM also will be hiring an o-line coach at the end of the school year. Hearing that is a done deal but we have to wait until he finish out his year at his current school.
I heard his family moved but someone told me that they moved into the Kings Mountain district several months back.
I don't know bro. I just had a Shelby fan here @ work tell me he got in a fight and his mom moved him to Ashbrook. If it's a lie he told it.
He well may be. Ashbrook has been picking up players left and right the past two years. Ashbrook has been very active this Spring. The Brook picked up Cramer’s top receiver this Spring also.
They're setting themselves up nicely.

I got word that he is indeed transferring to Ashbrook. KM’s quarterback TJ Armstrong also transferred to Ashbrook. Some of these transfers make no sense. Ashbrook already has a quarterback and two really good running backs. I guess it is KJ time in KM. Also of particular interest to Crest folks, Dakota Smith’s 365 was overturned.
Ashbrook also picked up Hunter Huss best returning defensive player Javerien Jeffries. Coach James of Ashbrook has a lot of coaching buddies working behind the scenes calling kids and parents encouraging them to transfer. Some of these guys are assistant coaches, disgruntled ex coaches, and other who work this particular football group that has become popular locally with kids running “camps” and hosting “high school football shows”. The coaches who don’t kiss their butt get their programs smeared as not helping kids get into college. It’s some bottom feeding stuff going on right now lol

Sounds like he got in one little fight and his mom got scared. He may be moving in with his Auntie and Uncle in Bel-Air

This High School transfer portal stuff is crazy. I get it, it's 2025 but I don't like it.
We will be fine. It hurts depth and experience but we still have talent that’s why so many of these other programs are recruiting our kids. Every since many of them got put on that “Prep Zone” watch list or did that scam CFI stuff, it’s been a concerted full court press on our kids/parents. It’s mostly out of hate for Herron and also because D. Wilson didn’t get the KM job. Wilson annd Kennedy haven’t been out there in three years as coaches but those dudes are still bitter. Daryl should focus on building his own program out of that dung pile in Dallas. All of these guys are working together and currently Ashbrook is benefiting. Some of these guys I had respect for because they initially were all about helping kids but now it’s about serving agendas and helping themselves. There are at least two who post here on ncpreps that I know of. One who left Shelby and went to Indy. I want to call names so bad because they think people don’t know what they are up to with the exception of some of these gullible parents. Currently KM, Shelby are getting smeared pretty bad and the only reason that Crest is not getting smeared is because some of Crest assistant coaches are friendly with those guys. If not for that then Lloyd would be getting smeared also. The ironic thing is KM has probably sent more kids to play college ball in the last 10 yrs then Huss, Ashbrook, NG, FV, and Cramer combined. KM has also had over 30 college programs visit KM for the first week of Spring ball but our coaches do not pose for pictures with visiting coaches and post them all over social media like some do.

Beat me to it. Swear I was about to post it.
We return most of our offense and some really good backups. We have a couple of kids who were out injured who are rejoining the team so our offense will be fine. TJ may have lost his job to KJ anyway. KJ is going to be really good. He is already close to 6’4 now and he throws darts! The projected OC is a quarterback guru so that will help. Herron let everyone know that we don’t have returning starters, everyone has to compete for their positions as it should be. The biggest losses were in our secondary. Jaden Williams will be hard to replace. Jahmer Canady was a huge loss also. TJ and Josiah were tough losses because of experience but the guys who are backing them up have much higher ceilings as players based on talent. We still have a really strong nucleus and return much more back than we did last season.

KM will be fine and be a factor in the Big South and have a deep playoff run.
Just have to get to the season for the outside noise to simmer.

Ashbrook didn’t have much of a passing game last season so I could see that QB switching position because he is a good athlete…
Good luck with that lol. I do not see AJ or his dad going along with that move period. It’s about to be messy.
I’m taking about switching Ashbrooks QB from last season to another position because in 6a ball he might need to be a little taller come playoffs..
I’m not sold on Trashbrook just yet.

Ashbrook’s qb is not going to willingly move to another position. He comes from a family of quarterbacks. Last year Ashbrook had running backs playing receiver. Two of Ashbrook receivers were running backs who were recruited over to Ashbrook so they had to put them on field. AJ is a better teammate and game manager as a qb, just short. Currently Ashbrook has two running backs who want the ball, two transfer receivers who want the ball, and now two quarterbacks who want the ball in their hands. It’s only one football gentlemen smh.

You must not be in touch with today’s sports parents. Coaches are managing parents just as much as they manage players. It’s a different day and age.
Should iron itself out before the season starts..I look at this Ashbrook situation kinda like when HH had a good Coach and Staff and everyone wanted be a part of that because it don’t happen often on that end of Gaston County..it wasn’t long ago Gaston County kids had to come to KM for good Coaching..
I get what you saying but it’s nowhere near the same situation. GC kids coming to KM was way more exaggerated than actually was.
Huss didn’t have a lot of transfers, Huss had kids from middle schools moving into their district for high school and it pissed people off. Middle school to high school is not a transfer. Ashbrook are getting multiple varsity starters in from other schools and they are being DIRECTED there. There is a difference. Ashbrook, West Charlotte, and Indy are doing the exact same thing because the same people are involved in pushing those transfers.

My mind is a little fuzzy since I am an old fart but I swas teaching at Burns in 1994 and I seem to recall that Tony Scott was player of the year in football and basketball that year.
