They will not be surprised. They all know each other. Were in Cleveland County. Gaffney players may have thought they knew until they lined up but a lot of Gaffney mistakes were not speed related. They arm tackled A LOT. Film is a valuable thing along with the fact they played last year. It was obvious Crest had more speed than a Whitehouse politician. You think Burns is expecting a slow and unathletic team coming to Lawndale? Nah... We just got to hope we can stay within 72 points so we don't look too bad against the undefeated 1-0 Chargers that beat Gaffney.

I saw the score and talked to a few folks today about the jv game last night. Burns is really young and missing some great talent that is playing on the varsity team. D-line for burns wasn’t too good last night but overall the defense wasn’t bad. The crest offense was ok, throwing the ball didn’t the ball didn’t impress them as there as pick 6 and another beer pick off a linebackers hands but some scramble plays by the quick crest qb on some busted plays was the difference. From what they said the burns offense was non existent because they seemed to run the same play over and over. I didn’t ask about qb’s for burns so I’m not help there. They did say the score wasn’t a good representation of the game and burns is right there with crest but we’ll see.
