I'm thinking the same thing. Also, how in the world is it possible to make a decision to transfer and in 2 days you you're enrolled at the school. I'd love to see what address he has on file.

In all seriousness. Most of us on here are just fans of Crest football or another program. We hear what is going on and we talk about it on here. We do not have anything to do with the ins or the outs of it. I have no idea why that kid left and I am quite sure when a kid shows up you can’t just tell him you can't come to school.
I'm almost positive no one over there is going to risk a season over an unverified address of a kid that just showed up. I’ll tell you who is in charge of that kid and most every other kid. The parents or the legal guardian. I'm like the guy from SP (DeBoer31) that chimed in. I like things the old way. But, we don’t live in that world anymore. It’s a whole new deal out there now and you either adapt or you get overwhelmed until you SUCK.
In a nutshell. High School football has in many ways become just like college football. A kid and their parents can just about do whatever they want. I mean if a middle linebacker named Larry can put a dress and tell you he’s Laura and we’re just supposed to blindly accept that without question. Is it then farfetched that a running back can be at one school one day and be at another 2 days later? And it does not matter what we like or don't like in this new world.

I know y'all joke on here for the most part, it's all part of the fun. And I agree with everything you just said. From what I've heard, the kid is a good kid. It's the dad that is crazy and forced the transfer. Like you, I'm not "all up in the know" about these things. So take it with a grain of salt. Sports in general can teach many life lessons, and parents/kids that force these transfers because they're not playing doesn't do them any favors in life. It should tell them to work harder, not flea when things get tough.
It is interesting, though. I for damn sure don’t want to hear that bs coming out of Sausage’s mouth anymore about Shelby previously having a Gaffney player. Crest “Amazon primed” a DE from Gaffney heading into the Shelby game in ‘21, a DE transfer heading into the game vs Shelby’s air raid offense. How convenient was that? He didn’t get to play, though, not enough practices. Now this current situation.

I don’t know but Crest usually gets one from Gaffney every year. Usually plays within a week.

There is know issues with the transfer on the NCHSAA side of it, it boils down to local rules. All school systems have their own transfer policy. People forget that NCHSAA allows one transfer WITHOUT a physical address move after start of 9th grade, with no sit out. Physical address moves, allows more than 1 transfer after 9th grade with no sit out.

“F@&k, we don’t have any pass rush! This kid will pick you apart, if given time to throw. We need to get pressure on him. Find out who is Gaffney’s second team DE. Tell him if he comes to play for Crest, instead of Limestone, we’ll get him recruited by the ACC.”
Coach gets on his beloved computer, and identifies the player. Too bad they didn’t get him in time, though. They were a day or two too late.

Who besides Bess? And, we all know the reason for that. Based on where he lives, he should have been going to Shelby anyway. The receiver, Mitchell who wanted play with his bff? That’s the only players of significance I think of. Oh yeah, BJ Hopper who flipped from the Shelby school system to Burns, to Shelby, then back to Burns again for his senior year.
Now, if we were to spin the block, and speak on who Crest has gotten from Burns….,, Man, I’m in The Twilight Zone. You really posted that. Wow! Burns is just now getting comfortable again. Up until about 3 years ago, they were always nervous about Crust in the offseason.

You guys are nuts. Some of your better teams were built on Shelby and Burns players, especially Burns. You got those Kee twins from Shelby a few years ago, two of the fastest players on your team, your former track coach with Shelby ties work.
And you are being a hypocrite on this. Kids move and change schools. They did so for years when Shelby was the big deal and it was in their best interest to play for them. Now it happens to Crest and you guys won't stop crying about it.
That Gaffney kid was different though. Cause his dad went to a baseball camp for a week at Shelby in 7th grade.
