Crest vs TC Roberson: Crest wins big behind their speed and aggressive defense.
52-7 Chargers

Kings Mountain vs Monroe: Very interesting game, Monroe usually has athletes and great coaching, however, The Mountaineers are the real deal, very sound team both offensively & defensively. 42-21 KM

Burns vs Asheville:
It doesn’t get any easier for the Dawgs this week, they are in need of a passing game ASAP, to keep opposing teams from stacking the box. Cougars win 31-21

Shelby vs AC Reynolds:
the Rockets played returning 4A champs, East Forsyth, a very competitive game, just losing to them by 12, 35-23. I feel this will be a very hard fought game for both teams, but Shelby wins with a balanced attack offensively, passing and rushing with another good game from jr running back, Omar Phillips. Phillips goes about 5’10 205, he’s going to open some eyes this season. Defensively, Shelby is stout. 28-17 Lions

What happen to last years running back? Did he graduate?

Crest by 21 or more.

Asheville by 14

Kings Mountain by 17

Shelby by 17

Shelby owes Reynolds from last season and I think they send a message. Shelby 35 AC 13

KM should take care of business against Monroe. Offense played better than I expected against Burns. KM 42 Monroe 24.

Burns will have to wait a few more weeks for win #1. Asheville 27 Burns 16.

Hope that Crest doesn't go up to Roberson and build a 20-0 lead only to mess around and let them make it too close at the end. Crest 34 Roberson 10.

Heck no! There were whispers during the preseason/scrimmages that he looked to be the no.1 back. It’s going to be an interesting situation when the senior returns. That’s a good problem to have, though, depth at any position is always good.

I think Fuller's quickness and shiftiness keeps him at RB1. There were a couple of plays at Freedom that Fuller would have taken to the house only because he is faster than Phillips. Phillips did have that one nice long TD run. I like that we have options though. It was definitely nice seeing a big bruiser in there carrying the ball. We haven't had that at Shelby in a while.

If Bess had 3 or 4 passes to redo Friday, he would have had 3 or 4 more TDs. A couple over throws on some wide open receivers. I really like our team though. Limit our mistakes and we are one of the best teams in the state regardless of class. Our opponents better have a good secondary or the game is over quick. O line did a great job blocking as well.

It's not very often that we whoop up on Freedom like that. This is gonna be a fun year!

shelby has a great program no doubt. much respect to them.but i think you guys picking shelby to blow acr out is a bit risky.with or without our best offensive player i think we will make a game of it.i hope we keep this game on our schedule for years to come.good luck to shelby. lets go big green

Coach Wilbanks has told me all week ACR much better then giving credit for.
He expects a dog fight. Shelby respects ACR and there coaching staff.
Going to be a good one. Whats chances Patterson plays?

I look for Jhari to play a little tonight but not sure how much.

I feel he will play until he just can't take the pain anymore. He is a gamer and hates to sit out, I just hope no more damage is done by playing, we need to win the conference to get a good playoff seed. As for the game, if we can take care of the ball (which we didn't do last week) we will be in this game, however if not Shelby could end this one quickly. I see Shelby much the same as East Forsyth, speed, size, good defense, and can score on any play from anywhere. The ACR defense can't have mental lapses like last week.

I want to see some improvement this week over last week. I thought we did some good things last week. I want to win the game obviously, but if we don't, I just want to see us getting better for conference play. With all the new guys in important spots, improvement is vital.

Tickled to death to see Camron having such a good game and Pryor good lord

Shelby just scored again fourth or fifth td pass of the night, well over 300 yards passing

45-21 with 7 to go in third

Frank Lost Password. I know that you’re going to be lurking in this thread, so since you like to compare scores, here’s one for you. The reigning 4A Champs East Forsyth 35-ACR 23 Final.

The mighty Shelby Golden Lions leads 52 ACR 21 in the 3rd quarter.

Let that sink in.;)
