Cherokee at Andrews

What say ye?? Looking forward to this game. Andrews has been sorta like Cherokee, all over the place!
I see a good matchup. Both teams got some gamebreakers. Braves GOTTA quit shooting themselves in the foot!!! Period!! I know they're young, but it's time to step up and take control. Finish this season on a high note and go into the playoffs kickin a$$ !!!!!!!!

Mont, I wish I could tell you which team will show up for Andrews. The last few weeks has been tough. Robbinsville beat us down hard, we played Rosman tough defensively but no offense. Then Murphy came to town and we played good defense and moved the ball late in the 4th qtr and came up short (says the official). Swain was just to much ! During the last 3 games we have been down 3 starters each game but should have 2 of the 3 back which will be huge for us since we don't have depth. It's Senior night for the Wildcats which will be a great motivation, especially since 3 teams this year had their Homecoming game scheduled against us. We hope to get healthy and maybe get a decent seeding in playoffs. Safe travels coming to Andrews

Ditto for Cherokee. We're pretty much in the same boat as Andrews. No depth. Already playing a lot of underclassmen. Should be an exciting game!

Should be. A lot on the line as far as seeding and momentum. We play the Braves Friday and finish with Hayesville next week then have our bye week at the end of the season which might give us time to heal.

Hope the boys come to at this week. Heard we getting a couple of kids back but lost another reciever. Rough year . Hopefully this can jump start the team and get them excited for the playoffs

Braves stunk it up tonite. One bright spot in the game. Freshman lineman picks up fumble and rumbles about 50 yards into the end zone for our first score. After that it was lights out! No offense, no defense!!!

I thought Cherokee looked good. Well coached and heading in the right direction. QB and receivers are very talented. I thought the difference was our running game. We had 13 seniors, which is a lot for us and they showed up tonight. Also it was nice that we finally changed our offense and had a two back set behind our QB.

Yeah the wonderful smc officials had a great game ... Two stops for the Braves that were negated by a horse collar when the kid had just the jersey and a phantom helmet to helmet call ... Then add in the missed offsides where the Andrews player was in the back field that they let go .. Crazy ... Hats off to Andrews very good game plan and 2 is very tough .. Good luck rest of the way .. Braves have got to quit killing themselves

You are correct about the horse collar. He plainly had the jersey. Wasn't even close to a horse collar!! But hey, this was SMC refs!! ( and they wonder why we quit booking them!!)

I failed to add the other good thing about the Braves last night was that they never quit. Fought hard to the end.
