This should be a good matchup. Definitely know more about these 2 teams and how the conference will shape up after this week. Any thoughts on the game.

This game is going to be interesting to see how it turns out. If anyway goes to see this game if you can update on here. Would be good.

Should be a great game. Who ever make the least mistakes should win. Chambers defense has only given up 27 pts in five conference games is impressive.

They are much better than last year. Their issue is that their offense is non-existent vs. Teams with great defenses and solid coaching. The defense is legit, but stays on the field way too long as the offense simply can not get first downs.

Thats what got them vs. Kings Mountain last year. They simply cant win one on one battles at the LOS and its made worse as they have no reasonable semblance of a passing offense. It doesn’t take good teams long to figure out they wont pass on early downs and only drop pass short, and playaction deep.

To make it more difficult they run spread concepts with misdirection which requires great blocking which they cant do as teams load the box.

Lastly. Chambers is really good and is primed up for a game like this. Hough is really good. They wont see anything like those teams in 3A sans Crest, KM and Dudley Playing Monroe, Indy, MC, Hough, and Chambers in one season can wear a team down. They just looked bad tonight. Flat out bad.

Biggest difference in this WC team and the Harding championship team Greiner had is the OL execution up front. They have more skill talent than the Harding team did but the OL isn't as technically sound. Major thing they need to try and get figured out.

Yep. I said that earlier in the year. I literally saw huge offensive linemen not touch a soul on run plays. You don't have to have a passing qb if you can run the ball effectively.

At Harding they were under center a bunch vs. strictly shotgun now. As Pep said the OL isnt as good, but you dont do the Oline any favors trying to run 85% of the time from shotgun. Then they are doing it with smaller less physical players. Also do not think the WRs block very well. Its a good offense scheme if u have a Big versatile back, decent pass attack, and oline can make initial blocks. Right now they are too one dimensional vs. Good teams.

Lets not get carried away though. WC is a great team and finishing the regular season 8-2 is a huge accomplishment. Most teams in the state would be 4-6, or 6-4 at best with this type of schedule. Chambers and Hough are top 5 in the state 4A teams easily. Those are not bad losses. WC was predicted 4th in the conference and will likely exceed that. They will also be a big factor in the 3A playoffs. So its just one loss. Cant let it beat you 2x, as your goal of a state title is still in front of you.
