Its ok. I understand that you have a hard time reading. My fault shouldnt of made the post that long. But if you would read it you would see that you are doing just like I said. You cant handle facts so you go into name calling.I even said I havent been able to make it to the games "lately". Google that definition please.
Some of us cant sit drunk every night. Some of us has to work.
But what is really sad is I joined a week ago cause you and a couple others we being bashed up by everyone over mitchells schedule. So I came in and tried to help you guys out. Stated alot of facts to prove our schedule is just as good as 80% of the 1a programs in state. But I guess that you have a hard time reading that we was on the same side. Sorry if I offended you by saying coaching has not been proven yet Guess you shouldnt be on a form if you get mad over nothing.

I am not mad at anyone or anything that I read on a message board raptor. I garantee you that if this crap ever made me mad then I would stop looking on here. I laugh at this stuff and especially people like you. I have been a member on here for over 5 years now and when I first started looking on here I took this stuff too serious but now I let it go. I don't get drunk at night I am already drunk this morning.lol and I am at work why waste time at home drinking when I can get paid good to do it. I am joking so lighten up and we will agree to disagree about the coaching because I garantee that if the 2011 team had these coaches they would have won state or atleast beat Swain that year. I appreciate you coming to my rescue on here I was about to be hurting. I am not the poster that other teams and your own team are callimg out and saying needs to calm down. I guess everyone on here is wrong except you because you are the only one here talking down about a 7-0 coach. I am sure he could get a job somewhere else with his record .I am not sure why this thread was even started especially by a fan from a long way off from here. But to answer your question I have played from the time I was old enough to till I got out of hs. And have coached middle school kids.
If you would of read the message I wrote I said that this staff was better than what we had. But to say they would of took the 2011 team all the way to state is one of those that no one knows. It was a run heavy team. I dont know if any team can win a state title being all run or all pass. But I would go as far as saying we wouldnt have lost to swain that year.
A lot of people have bought into the Mitchell is bad cause of their schedule but I have proven them wrong with facts of other 1a program schedules. And you obviously haven't read what I have typed cause you in all your post are arguing points that I said and agreed on...
And show me where I have downed Pitman or this staff... I even said earlier on this page "my point is not to down the coaching staff. it is just to speak the truth. They are better than what we have had at the school but I am not sold on them."
Now onto being 7-0. Thats all great. And as I have said many times in these forums, I like what this coaching staff has done. But if he goes 11-0 and losses in the first round cause we get beat I'd have no problem with that. But if it is a game where he just gets out coached (like the staff did in the swain game in 2011) I would have to start thinking that this staff isnt the staff that will take us to the promise land. But this staff like I said got whipped last year in the playoff game. Not saying we should of won the game but we were not outclassed or out skilled to the point where we shouldnt have put up some points. I like what the staff is doing but I really would love to see a game where Mitchell's coaching staff could be the thing that wins us the game in a playoff setting when it matter, instead of being the same ole mitchell routine. We lose cause of the same stuff in 2011. Will Pitman be this guy? I dont know. Like I said give him his shot. But atm he is unproven. He could be the best thing since slice bread and I hope he is but this year (baring injuries or something out of his control) will tell the tale. Mitchell once again has the team to compete with anyone in the west I believe. I do agree that we could have played with Whiteville last year but I am not sure if we could have beat them. I think what broke our backs last year was a fumble after a long run while we were driving to score while the game was 0 to 0 and they got the momentum and then it seemed like we never recovered. Atkins got hurt early in the game also and that hurt us very bad then it seemed like a snowball effect from there. I think a 6 hour trip to the game made things tougher also. I am not making excuses but there were many factors in the game. Maybe we can make a deeper run this year. An 11 and 0 season would really help because there would be no traveling until later in the playoffs.

I agree with all that was said. But my only point to the whole thing was this. It was playoff time and your going home if you lose. IMO you got to have some plays like polk did. Plays that help you out when things get to rolling like they did. As we all seen in the polk game. That 1 4th down conversion that lead to the td changed polks out look on that whole half. In hs football one play like that can put you right back into the game. Doesnt bother me that we lost. But as they tell the kids, win or lose leave it all on the field. Coaches have to do that too. That is why IMO the staff is 0-1 in big playoff games. I know the factors that play out in the game and have seen my own team at points get like this. But as a coach you know who your playmakers are. When bad things happen put the ball in thier hands with a crafty invention. But as I've said all along I really like where we are heading with our new staff. He wanted to start a new tradition and has so far. I just want to see that tradition bring home a state title some day is all. Maybe not this year or the next...etc but I would love to see it happen.
On a lighter note, I would love to see any WHC team bring home a state title. As I do believe in our kids in this area.
Well I have to say that as of now, no Mitchell can not win the west. Our team could easily match up with anyone in the west I do believe. But when we get into a game that our team isnt the best by a decent amount, our coaching will be the thing that lets us down. Almost done it 2 weeks in a row.
Can we please stop playing the 2nd half like we are going to lose. I would love to see the staff coach a game like we were down by 14 points every drive we get instead of coaching to run 3 times and if we get a first good or if its 3 and out well thats good too.

Why would you keep this going raptor? This crap was started by an albemarle poster and you have fell into this trap. If you have a problem with the coaches they meet on Sunday to watch film and they are on the practice field Monday thru Thursday and I am sure they would love to learn from you.lol

I know I have waited for a long time to see a Mitchell team this good. Do you not see the difference in coaching in the last 2 games from 1st half to 2nd? I have no problem with the staff. Happy Halloween from the Albemarle Bulldog fan who started this thread. I started this thread about Mitchell winning the 1AA West. Somehow, it went from discussing the Mountaineers good team, to a ludicrous conversation about a "SECRET TRAP" started by Albemarle fans.

Yes we got way off track on this one empire. It is way too early to claim anyone will win the west at this point. I was at the game in 2010 when Albemarle beat us to win the west and then won state. We never were really in the game. Their defense was too much for us that year. We couldn't move the ball at all. We scored on a hail mary right before half was our only offense. Probably the best defense I have ever seen in high school football.
It is amazing to watch how folks on here get sucked into a person with multiple names supporting and lifting up one another's ideas though they are the same person this sight is a joke
I don't want to get in the middle of all the urine flying on this thread but you could have changed the coaches to whoever you wanted in 2011, and I hate to break this to yall, Swain wins that game 10 out of 10 times and each game would probably have been by the same score. Great game between two very good teams but Swain was the better team.
Let it go gal, really no-one is worried about the game in 2011, atleast I know I dang sure am not. This is the 2015 season. Good luck to Swain the rest of the way it seems you guys are getting it together and just need some players to get healthy to make your usual deep run.
I let it go in 2011. Only reason I commented is because a couple Mounties brought it up repeatedly on this thread. Good luck to the Mounties as well. As far as the Devils thos year, it seems like every time we get a guy back we lose another but we are doing ok. Maybe we will bump into you all in the playoffs. The west is going to be a bear this year .
