Boys basketball 24/25

Just comparing Monroe's basketball and football rosters, it looks like they only have 2 basketball players who weren't on the football team. Kinda hard to play when you're missing 7 of the 8 guys in your rotation.

Makes sense, but that's why I asked. It looks like they are scheduled to play three games until the end of the season. Do you think that will affect them come tournament time/playoffs, especially since they played football into late December?

Before the season started were they expected to be good/win their conference? Last couple years it looks like they were just above .500, but before that they won the conference. I know nothing about the team, other than they seem to be off to a decent start so just wondering what to expect from them.

Question about Lincolnton. I know they have the "stud" in Smith. But he takes 27 shots a game. That is absolutely insane. Does he not have any help? Or is it a legitmate one man band?

I’ve heard this numerous times from others…”one man team”… but I disagree. Smith is an incredible player…he can make a shot from anywhere! He made a turn around jumper from the baseline for 3 against Maiden that was beautiful.. he was chasing the ball to keep it inbounds…pulls up with a quick release…nuttin’ but net!💰I’m sure he has the green light anytime, anywhere…which probably explains his numbers.

However, the Wolves have other really good players that can shoot, their point guard is good, fast too! The wolves are tall, very athletic, and they match up very well against Maiden.

It isn’t just Smith…at least in my opinion….the Wolves have a great team!

Feels like maiden could be higher

They’re getting there…slowly but surely.

The east is just loaded with very good teams as far this state wide ranking is concerned.

I do like that the Blue Devils are sitting 3rd in RPI in the 2a West. I’m hoping they continue on this hot streak. They’re really playing well.

Salisbury sits at 13-3. They take on Thomasville this evening on 1/24. Didn’t realize they had beaten Dudley earlier in the season. But not sure how much Dudley is about being a good basketball team.
