What is Bears record vs Ashe in history? Weren't they NW Ashe AT 1 TIME?

That had to have been the best team Northwest Ashe ever had. Them Beaver Creek and Ash Central were some terrible teams back in the day. But now ashe was the worst.

Just outside of West Jefferson. My father-in-law graduated from there in the late fifties.

Yes, Three schools. Beaver Creek, NW Ashe and Ashe Central. They combined to become Ashe County.

By the way, our former head football coach and a dear friend of mine, David Diamont, was our coach for the 1994 season. He said Roy Carter was the coach for Northwest Ashe. Diamont also stated when he coached at East Surry they played Beaver Creek in 1983 and Jimmy Upchurch, head coach at West Stokes, played for East Surry. He said there were some "confrontations" with Beaver Creek in 1983 and 84'. Thanks for the information, Coach Diamont. (We go back a long way. Played for you first in 1970-71 on the MAHS JV basketball team.)
