Let’s go Knights!!! 4th round how bout it. That’s always been the rock in their shoe. This game is far from over. No fumbles, unless I missed one. No fumbles they might take it. We still under dogs here in the dungeon dispite 20 to zip
You rascal you didn’t tell me you was there. I was sitting close to concession stand side behind Wingates people maybe 3 rowes up. Shoulda said something.I was there. Ashbrook made good adjustments at halftime and was able to stop the NL running game. They just didn’t have enough offense to overcome a 20-0 deficit. They really didn’t have much offense at all. NL defense played really well. We’ll see if they can slow it down and hold Hickory under 60 next week.
How did NL shut Ashbrooks offense down? SP had plenty of offense but couldn't control Ashbrooks QB and tailback.I was there. They were able to shut down the RB pretty easily. And when the QB had it the d-line contained him pretty well until the LBs could get there and bring him down. NL has a linebacker, #7, who is the leader and he flies to the ball. Never gets out of position. He hit the QB everywhere he went. And the Ashbrook QB has a good arm but every throw seemed flat and he didn’t have much touch on passes. Not sure if it was the cold weather that threw him off or if that’s just his normal type of throw. But the NL secondary played better than I expected. I think they had 3 INTs.How did NL shut Ashbrooks offense down? SP had plenty of offense but couldn't control Ashbrooks QB and tailback.
Hey I think we spoke at the game unless that was someone else. Watching the Hickory game on your phone I saw ya lol. I was in brown coat and army tobagan sitting toward top on side of stadium close to and toward concession stand. They were able to shut down the RB pretty easily. That wasn’t me…I was in the press box the whole game. But if we’re both at Hickory next week I’ll make it a point to meet up.Hey I think we spoke at the game unless that was someone else. North didn’t score any 2nd half. Stuffed and I guess that front 7 figured how to do it better. But North shut them down too. Their D will be better against Hickory than in the 1st meeting. They’ve been shutting em down since the beginning of the playoffs. Now I ain’t saying they are gonna beat Hickory lol. It’ll just be a better game with better D this time
I don’t know about plenty of offense…Ashbrook controlled SP offense in both games because Brook knew the two positions that get the ball on offense. But, weak defensive edge play upfront and no pass rush or ability to get to the qb from the DL was the deciding factor for SP.How did NL shut Ashbrooks offense down? I agree with you in regards to our failures on the defensive side of the ball but not on the offensive side of the ball We put 28 points on them. Crest could only score 29 and KM 27. Their offense was on the only thing that kept us from scoring more. We were very close to scoring when the game ended as well. We had a drop pass at the Ashbrook 30 yardline with 1:46 on the clock.I don’t know about plenty of offense…Ashbrook controlled SP offense in both games because Brook knew the two positions that get the ball on offense. You had a late pass there and another one on the other side in the flat. Thrown on time….one is a TD and one is a first down. Dropped passes occur when a defender doesn’t have his hand in the catch. The one in the flat was at the receivers shoelaces so nobody got a hand near it.I agree with you in regards to our failures on the defensive side of the ball but not on the offensive side of the ball We put 28 points on them. Saw everything you saw. I elected not to narrate every play in the game. Some people get the big head if they feel they can pretend to be a play by play analyst in the NFL. You have a long way to go my friend.🤣You had a late pass there and another one on the other side in the flat. Thrown on time….one is a TD and one is a first down. You seem to have coveniently forgot the throw on far sideline that missed a receiver by 2 yards behind him and the game clinching Int thrown into triple or quad covg. No mention of that ?
I’m not even sure what that means. I elected to point out the real issues since you brought up one random one out of the many.Saw everything you saw. I elected not to narrate every play in the game.
