what else is new....this time, teams will have to play no matter the conditions or the lack of revenue....playoff seeding starts saturday.....this has been one he## of a football season as far as weather goes........................

may as well change it to Thursday Night Lights. I can’t even remember the last time reidsville has played on a friday night

We should have played one of these conference games in the rain, crowd will be sparse until the playoffs and these conference teams are no threat anyway.

Thursday works for me ... but Carolina Panther fans may miss the first quarter.

For teams who need to win for playoff seedings, they should play Thursday or risk having to play in very bad weather Friday since they can't play after Friday with seedings done Saturday morning.

since Reidsville keeps falling in this BS rating system NCHSAA has...perhaps the Rams should not have been calling off dogs at halftime and winning by 100 plus points......

Carolina Varsity now has S. Columbus in east on updated projected bracket. Reidsville still #1 in west.

honestly hope we don’t have the same weather issue during playoffs. Thursday night lights just doesn’t feel the same as Friday night lights. Attendance is also down when we play on thursday nights.

It’s also these conference teams we are playing

you're right...apparently common sense has been taken out....judging by some of the teams that dropped badly...mine and yours included.........
The adjusted system makes a team that wins games by 21 points equal to a team that wins by 51 points.

In the real world of football, a team that wins by 51 will beat a team that wins by 21 by about 30 points.

And therein lies the weakness of the adjusted system - and it will mean that some lower seeded teams will be heavy favorites over higher seeded teams when they meet on the football field.

i agree. Just ready for playoffs to hopefully see some competition. These blowouts are no fun to watch half the crowd is leaving by halftime

Yeah, I'm honestly tired of the regular season schedule in general. Not anyone's fault, but hoping to see some different teams next year.

well we are at least gonna see THREE different teams next year ....East Surry. HP Central and Eastern Guilford..(replacing NW Guilford, Magna Vista, and RJ Reynolds)....not sure if HP Andrews is dropping us, or us them but that's a possibility and we will have to get another non-conference game..................

I'm hoping Hpa is gone too. That was a great rivalry though. Hoping we can get a big fish with that last game.

Some notes/trivia for Reidsville:
• With a four-game running clock streak and a bye mixed in, Reidsville's starters haven't played full game since Sept. 21 ... I guess that can be seen both ways -- either well-rested or rusty. Hopefully the two-way line starter will be back for the playoffs. Hate the WR-DB got injured in the Graham game.
• Reidsville will have played three Thursday night games and one Wednesday night game this season.
• Graham has had some good athletes in the past - check out Wake Forest's starting QB, Jamie Newman, Thursday night against N.C. State. He replaces injured Sam Hartman, whose father Mark was Reidsville's quarterback in the late 1970s.

isn't the State/WF game Thursday nite?? if so...will be hard to check out all of it, if you attend the Reidsville/Cummings game...also Carolina Panthers are playing tomorrow nite....all in all...not a good nite for high schools to be playing...but it beats sitting out in the rain................................

Back in my day, the adults that made the decisions didnt mind a little rain.

These days, the adults making the decisions are pansies.

it's all about $$$...in mine and your day...people didn't mind paying and sitting in rain to watch a game.....not so today.......players probably could care less..........

Yep -- getting ahead of myself, State-Wake, Panthers-Steelers and Rams-Cavaliers all Thursday. I think we can watch high schools and still make it back to the TV for the other games.

And whose grandfather Bob was one of my regular tennis partners then. Small world.

60% chance of rain tomorrow at the game. Seems to me they will be playing in the rain regardless.
