They have one receiver committed to Clemson. He is impressive, outside of him no one in their receiving core is at that level or close to it from what I've seen.
Cougar pass rush will be key, thankfully for Catholic that is a strong suit for them.
After seeing what CC's defense has done all season. They are not running the ball on Catholic. I'm sorry it just isn't happening. They have five receivers with over 20 catches outside of Powell, four of them have over six receiving TD's each. Their running game is underrated, back has over 1700 rushing yards. Powell can run it, catch it and take it to the house on special teams. CC's running attack should limit the possessions of Rose, should be interesting.

Rose's run game is not going to have much success. Let's take a look back at the running games CC has stopped:They can do both, that's why they've thrown for 3,000 yards. My main point was that they do have other receivers other than CP. CC is a good matchup for Rose, Cougs can run the ball and control the clock which will limit Rose possessions.
With the wildcat does he ever throw out of it?They will find a way to get the ball in his hands via through the air or in the wildcat. Rose has one of the best air attacks I've ever seen. The D had a really good showing Friday against a team won ran over a good Hillside D the week before.
Dudley was averaging 44 points a game they got 8
North Davisdon was averaging 40 and they got 23
Reagan was averaging 44 last year they got donut
New Bern was averaging 39 last year they got 23
Catholic will make Rose play this in a phone booth. Control the clock get points and force Rose to panic. Then comes the turnovers. Gotta play defense like New Bern last year of Dudley in 13 if you are gonna beat Catholic
Question, how many guys does Rose have going both ways? Typically at 4A teams don't have many, but there are exceptions.
Ok, was gonna say if they do that could become a problem if CC really wears the clock down. Their D wearing down may still be a problem thoughNone I can think of. They've got a plethora of players on the roster.
That they did, but several times their run D looks very very suspect.Played a pretty good game last week, only gave up 14 to a team who curb stomped Hillside a week before. They want to outscore people, that's evident by their final scores.
Kind of reminds me of Vance. Rose may have more depth though. Vance had one standout receiver with other playmakers around, but not to Dorn/Powell level. Gonna be a good game, will you be there Port?Rose is good at what they do. CC will take that away. Last week it almost seemed like Rose was saving Powell after they jumped out in front. I think that was smart, he will be the X factor if Rose is to pull off the upset. He is special and the kind of player that can get his even when you know its coming. The other skill players for Rose are good, but nothing more than CC have faced all season.
I do have to say I believe New Hanover lost their QB very early in the game. Now I know NHHS isn't an air raid offense by any means, but I think it had an impact on the game for sure.Played a pretty good game last week, only gave up 14 to a team who curb stomped Hillside a week before.
