3A Conference 1 JK, WRH, GB, MW, SC, and Princeton

Well this conference is going to be boring 😒. Looks like JK and WRH will be competing for the title every year. Princeton will probably be competitive too. But as for the rest, just some busy bye weeks.

JK and WRH need to be in separate conferences. That way they can meet up in the 4th round every year in the east. Otherwise if they continue to seed conference champs like they do one will get shafted each year. Also makes it easier to schedule non conference games. ED, WRH, JK all will have 2 non conference games 20 minutes away if they are in separate conferences. That would benefit each others RPI win or lose each year.

IMO this isnt a bad initial draft for the Duplin County schools.

JK and WRH have relatively short rides compared to others and have a past history with most of those schools. True, they could be considered the favorites for football, but Princeton has had some good teams lately. The other schools have all had success in sports other than football.

If I am ED, I like the fact that most of those schools in the proposed new league have all of the same sports that ED offers. In addition, there is a familiarity with most if not all the schools. While Havelock is the elephant in the room, they are 5A and would have no bearing on ED or SWO being seeded with the other conference champions in 4A come playoff time. Besides, I see no way that ED does not play WRH or JK in the future in all sports. Those meetings will just be much earlier in the season.

2016-17 - 2020-21 was when we were “terrible” not exactly 10 years… after that we’ve been fairly good more specifically this season and 2 seasons ago. . Last years team could’ve been good too, I mean geez if you really look at this years team compared to last years, it’s the same at the skill position with honestly a smaller O line. Crazy what changing some staff around can do. I don’t mean to jinx it but I don’t think JK is going super downhill anytime soon either. I’m sure this conference will be ran by wrh jk and maybe Princeton. I’m sure most wrh posters wouldn’t disagree either.

Yeah that’s pretty bad😆 but in all fairness if the numbers are there for swo and ed and any other team in that conference then that’s where they belong.

Yeah, DC teams biggest weakness is their ability when playing against the pass. You just don’t see it, and usually when you can play against the pass you can actually pass the ball yourself. But Jesus if ED plans on still playing WRH and JK non conference then go into their conference games they might have one of the toughest schedules in the state.

True but most of the conference games ED is probably favored other than Havelock and have to see what happens with SWO can't tell about them yet. But there is some easier games in there too .
