2A West Playoffs

Most of us assume that when the dust settles and it’s the week of the regional final that the final two teams will come from the group of Shelby, Monroe, and Reidsville. However, I believe there are some other teams that have the ability to shake things up a bit in the West. Not to say that anyone will derail the inevitable but I do think there are several teams who are sneaky good and could play spoiler to the status quo if they are clicking and the final brackets fall just right. The top 3 in the mid-state conference and the CVAC are dangerous. You then have Burns, Brevard, Randleman, and East Rutherford who will bring dangerous teams into the postseason. Who out of these has the best chance to upset the apple cart?

Got to watch out playing Lincolnton they're so short and shifty that every time you tackle them or try to you get face mask. They probably have the most face mask penalties in their favor that I have seen.

AMD, why are you going on about our running backs' size. You make them sound like Lilliputians. They're not that small, they're, well maybe they are, but they have a lot of heart.

We have to wrap up and we have to be aggressive on defense. We have not been tested since AC and KM. Last week we could have about scored every time we ran a play. That will not be the case Friday. We have to earn it.

yeah East Rutherford and Lincolnton look dangerous

it's kind of loaded bracket with Maiden, ER, Lincolnton, West Stokes, Walkertown, Burns, Sailsbury, Randleman

Any of these teams could send the big dogs home, it's not exactly cake walk aside from the fact they could send each other home first

Guys, no offense meant to either, but I hope to goodness we don't start off with somebody from Union or Cleveland County. Everybody I've known from both places were good people, but having to play them is like figuring calculus word problems. It would be nice to begin with someone we've never played before, just for the novelty of it.

He's ok I think. I don't know for sure but on the sideline it looked like maybe he got dizzy or disoriented, maybe dehydrated??. They tried to put way too much on him Friday night, way too many designed QB runs knowing he had to play both ways. That's just my perspective from the stands. I think he'll be good with a week off to rest.

Oh, and hey, I think I mentioned, after our game there, you said Maiden was was getting flagged for grabbing the face mask because our backs were so small; actually, I thought you were joking... Then, this past Friday night, it seemed like West Lincoln was getting face mask penalties every time we were on offense... during one of our possessions, I think they got two in a row, and it dawned on me you really were serious.

Easy night for that when it seemed like the game plan didn't involve passing 🤣. Ran the ball first half and 3rd qtr got up. And then when we needed the pass it was too late to get it going. Hope we get a rematch in playoffs.
