2017 Cleveland County Jamboree

The Cleveland County Jamboree will take place on August 11th at Kings Mountain High School. There is a great line up of teams this year. All four Cleveland County schools will test there skills against a great group of teams from across the state. Match ups for this year's CC Jamboree are as follows:
6:00 Crest vs West Forsyth (11-3 last year) Coach Adrian Snow - Lost 3rd Round of 4AA Playoffs
7:00 Burns vs AC Reynolds (11-3 last year) Coach Shane Laws - Lost 3rd Round of 3AA Playoffs
8:00 Shelby vs JM Robinson (10-3 last year) Coach Joe Glass - Lost 2nd Round of 3AA Playoffs
9:00 Kings Mtn vs N. Conover (6-5 last year) Coach Matt Beam - Great returning group of players

Great lineup of teams. Just curious, does the hosting team get to choose which team they play in the Jamboree? Seems KM got the easiest opponent with a barely average (6-5) 2A Newton Conover team. Not sure they will get much of a test there.

A great event...it will be here before we know it. Nice to see a couple different teams (West Forsyth, JM Robinson, and Newton-Conover).

I remember Newton giving Crest a fit when they had the coach before Beam. Crest didn't like playing them since they were 2a but the scrimmages were very close.

why dose it matter which team plays which team, i thought these were only scrimmage games.

That has to be the bitchiest Feb post I've ever seen.....That's about as petty as it gets.

#1....Kings Mountain has never backed away or bitched about any opponent in the CC Jamboree, just go back and look at the history.

#2....Anytime, you can get your team dressed out in the 3rd week of August, in front of several thousand fans, for a half of football, then it's a good test.

#3....I posted this to show that the interest for the CC Jamboree continues to be there. Teams are willing to travel 1.5 - 2 hours for a 1 hour scrimmage every year.

#4....If you absolutely have to know, NO this is not the line up that KM tried to put together. There was talk about Shelby-Mallard Creek, but not sure what actually happened there, but I'm positive it wasn't because Shelby was scared. The original line-up had KM playing AC Reynolds (which we've done several times before). You can use your deductive reasoning skills to figure out the rest.

Relax. All i asked was, as the host team did KM get to choose their opponent and set up the other matchups. And if so, why not match your team against one of the tougher opponents. Just a question.

how do you know that newton-conover what be the toughest team there, this is a new season some new players a different team from last year that what these scrimmages are all about.
