Will be providing updates here, as SWE goes for its first and Kinston goes for its second (2011) championship appearance. I have SWE 35-14. Go Lincolnton.
Just met my nephew on the field, and he told me great news. He does NOT have a torn ACL. Just strained. No activity for 4 more weeks. But still, that's fantastic news.
Kin at 28. Driving nicely down the field. Very, very slowly. On purpose, to keep our offense off the field. Three 4th down conversions lead to a 1yd td run.2pt good. 8-0 kinston
With 3 sec on the clock, swe throws it to the end zone from the 40. Kin defender high points the ball, tips it, and it falls into the hands of sw with zero on the clock. Sw 15 kin 8 at the half.
Kin is keeping possessions at a minimum. Only three for us, but two tds and a fumble at the 10. Could be 21-8. We have adjusted to the screens and shut the rush down. Meanwhile we are moving the ball with ease. And we get it to start the third.
Wow SWE'98, I hope that keeps up! But word of caution. ..go back and read my comments around this same time last week...I was flying high too..thought the game was in hand. ..no jinx, just saying.
I mentioned NE on another site. So far, things are looking good. Started at the 5. Now at their 38. That's the good news. Bad news is our horse Marcus Williams just got hurt.
