2 out of State games of interest in S.C.

With not lot of games going on this Friday I thought about posting these two big games going on in S.C.

7-1 Gaffney vs 7-1 Spartanburg. Huge game. It will be play at the Reservation of Gaffney. Will be huge crowd

8-0 Dutch Fork vs 9-0 Irmo. Another big game of interest.

We will see how these 2 games turn out.

Irmo might have to forfeit games and would be ineligible for the playoffs. Hearing is going on now.

Both coaches are quite familiar with transfers, but maybe the "tutelage" missed a few lessons from the "teacher" about how to avoid penalties.

The team doesn't have to forfeit the games that the player played.

Good for Irmo, but the decision seems inconsistent with the stated disciplinary actions and rulings that have been handed down to other schools that played ineligible players.

This is where it gets a bit in the gray area. Two different households, one parent should be he primary which determines initial school attendance. If a parent provides documentation where they live and it is a new student and the documentation matches up how far does the school need to go?

The 8th grade brother attends Grays Collegiate and they just forfeited their season. Not sure if this player was there before.

Have heard another school turned Irmo in?

Dutch Fork n Irmo will be for conference
As for Gaffney n Spartanburg. I believe Gaffney has one conference loss to Dorman and Spartanburg is undefeated in conference. So if Gaffney wins I’m not sure how that will work out for conference title

Big comeback by Gaffney as they won 27-24. What a game. I could imagine the crowd at the Reservation

I didn't know until past midnight last night, but Irmo-Dutch Fork was streamed live on YouTube, and you can view it any time, if you care to.

Irmo was better than I expected. Going into last night Dutch Fork had only given up 31 points the entire season, and had 5 shutouts. I think most of the points they had given up were late in games against second teamers. All of Irmo's points were in the 1st half, so Dutch Fork bent a little in the 1st half and tightened up in the 2nd.

Brand, Jr., is quite a player. Big, but not huge (about 6'2" 210 pounds), fast, can sling it, and knows what he's doing.
