These conferences wil be fairly competitive and teams would not have to find a ton of nonconference games. 6 team conferences are hard to find 6 nonconference fb games especially if you a good progam.

Rocky Mount Prep to Cape Hatteras? 183 miles one way, 3 hours and 9 minutes according to Google Maps.

Rocky Mount Prep to Ocracoke? 180 miles one way, 5 hours 58 minutes including a ferry ride.

Weldon to Manteo? 140 miles one way, 2 hours 30 minutes.

These might work for football only, but don't think this is feasible for other sports with weeknight games.
