What fall Friday nights in Bryson City were like
excellent reading...the writer can really set the atomsphere for the friday nights lights of the SMC....one vivid memory I have of that time frame was a Swain/Murphy game that was postponed to saturday night at the old stadium in Bryson City. Also that saturday night App St was playing at WCU...- knine1

Will Murphy coach David Gentry return?
For the record I got Coach Gentry with 30 wins,12 losses and 1 tie vs Robbinsville since he came to Murphy 37 years ago......Gentry just shy of 75 % winning % against them........And Coach in my opinion has an excellent chance to post win No. 31 come fall....- knine1

Hes just coming off a state title himself in 18 so i wouldnt think hes got a bad taste... he had a young team in 19 bu overall been on an historical run with 6 trips to the big show since 2010 ....breaking the state wins record at swain was a terriffic win for a young team....dogs look strong...- knine1

When any coach goes for 2 to win it or lose it , hes gonna get the glory if it works and the blame if it doesnt....just the way it is......with the state record and possible smc championship on the line it was a monster call to go for it....bottom line not many coaches wouldve had the stones to...- knine1

I would think yardage and first downs would favor Murphy....Murphy outplayed Swain pretty handily the first half...just my opinion Devils were fortunant to only be down 7.....it was a great game but I think by any meausre Murphy can claim a victory as the better team...but not by much...- knine1
