SMC Pickem Week 1

This will be my first time ever doing a contest so bare with me if it's late or if it's not perfect, haha. I just figured it would be fun to continue doing it since we've had it every year.

Here are the rules: I will post a new thread for each weeks games and i'll also have a standings page. I will post each week's games on Monday along with 3 "Bonus" games. The bonus games will count as 2 points each. It will consist of any game in the state. Picks need to be submitted by Friday at 5pm. If we have Thursday games for any reason, then I will let you know in that thread when picks are due. If you miss a week, then you are out. You can just reply to that weeks thread with your picks. Winner receives bragging rights, haha. Good luck to everyone!

Murphy at Franklin
Hayesville at Towns County

Bonus Games (2 points)
Tarboro at Rocky Mount

Shelby at Kings Mountain

Great question! So since this a SMC pickem and its more games, they are each worth 1 point. I wanted to pick 3 games out of the conference as a bonus so that is why those are worth 2 points.

No disrespect to Franklin but I don’t see them beating Murphy after I watched them in the scrimmage game. Their top two backs left the game with injuries which both seemed to be leg injuries and one was on crutches. I know it was just a scrimmage but we will see tomorrow night
