Looking forward to the Bears coming to Whiteville, I know we have played Ahoskie several time in the playoffs but don't think we have crossed paths with the Bears. Hope for better weather next Friday night and a packed house at Legion Stadium. Go Pack!

We are going to have to play better defense next week to win. Do I think we can? Yes I do. I will have to say the offence won the game tonight. Thats one thing about this team. When one side is down a little, the other side will pick them up. Man this team really fights for one another and believes in one another. I don't know if I have ever seen a team this close with each other, and that makes a difference. It makes you believe in yourself that you can be the best you can, and that means a lot. I will say this, don't give up on them because they sure won't. To be honest, no one in the State thought we would be here in the 3rd round after losing 17 seniors, I know I didn't.
QB from Holmes was pretty good, backs from Hertford look good, but Defense wins Championships.
That would surprise me. Price isn't gonna let one man beat them. I'm sure Whiteville will be keying on Roger's. Hertford gives up alot of points also. Whiteville by 7+
I’ll take Hertford County as well but only because of Rodgers. He can beat you on his own. Not one team has shut him down or even slowed him down. We beat them at Hertford County but Rodgers did his thing. They had a couple of costly turnovers in the 4th that sealed their fate. Im going to try and go if it’s not on NFHS

Whiteville is actually a good place to watch a high school game. They used to hand our asses to us back in the 80s. Mcglocklin and company. Now he went through DC for a couple years successfully. Maybe greatest 2a team ever saw, and white oak upset them in the rain one night. Couldn't believe what I saw!
I think there were 5 or 6 D1 players on that team you mentioned, the next year they won the SC against Thomasville in Whiteville, Chesters senior year. Thomasville gave us a fight think final score was 14-8.

Great game with Thomasville. McGlockton beat Thomasville single handedly. Still the worst display of poor sportsmanship by a coaching staff that I’ve ever seen. And by a winning team no less. Disgusting.
Whiteville won a closely contested game. Could have gone either way, but Whiteville deserved to win.
When the horn sounded, much of the Whiteville team and several coaches ran straight to the Thomasville crowd, taunting the visitors. That was bad enough. But one of the Whiteville coaches grabbed his crotch and was hunching at the fans, cursing the whole time. That display went on for several minutes.
If a Thomasville coach ever does something like that, I hope he’s fired before midnight.
To top it off, as my wife and I were leaving the game, several Whiteville fans followed us to the car, taunting the whole way. My wife and I are not the types to scream at refs or players. Weren’t even wearing Bulldog apparel. To this day, my wife hates going to away playoff games and rarely does.

Often wondered if that coach was disciplined. I know the Thomasville administration made a phone call on Monday to the Whiteville school system.
I’m shocked and dumbfounded. I was then and for up until recently as close to the program as anyone. First I’ve heard of this. Not doubting it happened, just clueless.
Hewett coached 88 and 89, rumor was he interviewed for the South Brunswick job and it didn’t set well with the powers to be. I guess it was mutual for him to move on.

Thanks buck71. I know that we all have our bad apples. Thomasville had a poster who seemed to challenge somebody to a fight a couple times a year. Just wasn’t prepared for that sort of venom from a winning team. And especially not from a coach.

News to me as well buck but like you can say it was out of character for our team, coaches program and community. Sorry you had that experience here. Countless visitors have found us to be very accommodating and friendly. We hosted a ton of playoff games in just about every sport and from what I have witnessed treat opponents and fans with respect . Again sorry you had that experience here.
Wiz the people from white oak didn't even know what they had done that night. Bobby Wray ran all over Whiteville. Definitely aided by the rain!
Will never forget. Local tv station had already made plans to televise Wallace vs Whiteville. White Oak takes care of Wallace 14-7 and Whiteville 18-16 in a monsoon. Then loses to Fuquay the next week. You never know!
I sure would take that. We have got to contain that Josh Allen type QB if we win. I have been told he is the best in the state. We are going to have our hands full, but maybe our defense can figure out a way to do that. If he is better than the QB from Holmes I can't wait to see him. I am sure coach Scott is working on something right now. Maybe he will put a lot of blitz packages in to put a lot of pressure on him to throw him off his game. Our defense is going to have to have their best game as well as our offence which I think they can do if everyone is on the same page. I think everyone has underestimated this team all year. I will go with the Pack 21 to 14 maybe.
