In Florida a student can play sports until he turns 19 years and 9 months old. Last year a 5 Star recruit played into the playoffs and then could no longer play as he had went over the age limit. Considering that most high school football players in NC do not 18 until their senior football season is over you get the idea that Florida lets things ride a bit.
In the past we have seen four and five players from one school transfer to another school for their senior season.
Gambling on high school football in Florida is now an issue which many believe has led to some of the transferring issues that have happened.
The driving force is partly that it is already an epidemic and that private schools give scholarships to players that often rising seniors.
So sway you think it is ok for a player to play at a school for three years and then decide that he will go over to another school for his senior year for any reason? Look at it this way. A player has been in the program for three years and started as a junior. Now a player better than him rolls in for his senior year and takes his starting position and then leaves school after football season to return to his "home" school because that is where he prefers to go to be since football is over.
