East Rowan will be playing in the “Union County Classic” tourney at Sun Valley high school on 4/16.

East Lincoln is headed to Myrtle beach… “Ripken Classic” tourney…playing 3 teams from Ohio.

Kings Mountain will play Bandy’s in the “Shelby Easter” tourney. That ought to be a good one.

South Rowan won over NW Cabarrus yesterday 8-2 keeping them tied for 1st spot in conference. They will play again today according to Max Prep.

South Rowan won over NW Cabarrus 6-4 in a back to back wins. South Rowan will play Hickory Ridge this Friday at 1 pm in a tournament. Also East Rowan won over Concord 17-2 in back to back wins. They will play Parkwood at 2pm this Saturday in a tournament.

East Rowan played 2 games today. In game 1 East Rowan won over Parkwood 17-1 but in game 2 East Rowan would lose to Marvin Ridge 8-4. At Parkwood on Monday at 7:30 East Rowan will play Lake Norman in the tournament.

East Rowan rebounded with a win over West Rowan 10-3 after losing to Marvin Ridge. East Rowan will play home against Lake Norman today at 7 pm. Should be a good game.
South Rowan took a 9-4 loss to Carson in the tournament but would rebound with a win over Carson 10-5. South Rowan will play Carson again on the 4/22 at 7 pm. I will update the conference standings later today.

East Rowan defeated N.W. Cabarrus 2-0. They will play again on Friday 4/29 to finish out the regular season. As of now South Rowan is playing West Rowan. I will give score as soon as I find out.

South Rowan defeated West Rowan 4-2. This keeps the race between East Rowan and South Rowan tied for 1st place. Interesting to see how all this turns out. Looking forward to conference tournament and the playoffs to begin.

South Rowan won over Piedmont 13-4 in a non conference game. South Rowan will finish out the regular season against West Rowan tomorrow evening. Should both South and East win they will share the title conference.

He has 33 hits and 44 RBI’s….absolutely incredible!

Wow Maiden Creek, what a conference. I’m thinking SPC has some good teams, but Western Piedmont Conference is loaded as well. Like I said on one of the other forms I never kept up with HS baseball but this year looks to be a doozy with lot of good teams playing. Looking forward to see how all this turn out.

Big South will be decided this week with the 2 games between Crest and Kings Mtn. If Crest wins Tuesday night it forces the deciding game on Friday at KM. KM win Tues and Friday at KM is only for a postseason warm-up. These 2 teams played in the championship game of the Cleveland County Easter Tourney with KM getting the win.

What a game at East Lincoln tonight. East had a lead…7-2 through 5….bolstered by (2) 3 run shots….thanks to Spees and Coach Matiles’ son… Evan…who went 3 for 3.

But North didn’t quit…they loaded the bases in the 6th…got 2 runs on walks…then a single to score another run…making it 7-5 and held East scoreless in the bottom half of the inning.

Then…top of the seventh…North with a K, walk. FC…..

Man on 1st..tying run at the plate…2 outs!….BOOM!…a “seeing eye dog” triple!…it was a 7-wood slice into right corner…then Boom.. a double off the wall…tied it up!

7 all!😂

Throwing error brought in the next run…North leads 8-7….heading to bottom of the 7th.

North hangs on to win it…after 2 lead off singles by Smiley and Matile..thanks to a bunt pop up to the pitcher and Smiley gets gunned trying to get back to 2nd base.

GREAT GAME! Congrats to North Lincoln!😉

I made it to the East Rowan vs Carson tournament at South Rowan. East won 3-1. Got to see Cameron Padgett pitch. He is good as advertised. Carson is not a bad team at all. They did get couple hits on the pitcher. I did hit the concession for a grilled cheese burger. Some good stuff. Now awaiting the South Rowan vs West Rowan game.

Wow what a game. South Rowan wins over West Rowan 5-4. After South was up 5-1 in the top of the 4th West would make a run. West had bases loaded at the top of the 7th with 2 outs but a hit to center field was caught. Game over. Get ready for a big show down between East Rowan vs South Rowan at South Rowan this Thursday. Heard from 2 sources at the East Lincoln vs North Lincoln game…that the Western Foothills conference tourney would only include the top 4 teams.

Foard, East Lincoln, North Lincoln, St. Stephens….but I don’t see any evidence of scheduled games on Max Preps…so that may not be true.
