The RPI was updated Monday morning at 12:21 a.m.

Interesting shift in the 3A East where the Sandhills is concerned. Lee County is 30th in RPI and Union Pines was 33rd after Friday night, but Union Pines finished one game ahead of Lee in the conference standings, 6-6 vs. 5-7, and there is a "Leap Frog" rule that applies to situations like that. But the new RPI figures moved UP to 32, ahead of West Johnston, so now both teams are in regardless. I was trying to figure that one out because we cover both teams.
