Agree. We have a kicker. We just choose not to use him to maximum efficiency for some reason(haven't attempted a fg in 2 damn yrs) Maybe the situation won't arise where we need him. I expect a game where the over/under is around 55-60.

I was afraid you’d chime in @tarheel fan1 lol. But being you did I’ll say this, I think NE was the better team even though we lost that night. I think we would’ve won 8 out of 10 against them. Not having a kicker was our downfall. We gave Wrh the ball at midfield on every kickoff. Now you know you’ve done started something lol. If we end up playing you guys again then we should hang out during the game. I promise I’d not be loud. 😀

WRH Football team averaged more points per game than West Cravens Hoops team did last year. They hit 69 more than Mia Khalifa.
If West Craven has a great defense they better make sure they show up Friday night because the dogs are coming to burn the house down.
You’re probably right about it being a toss up. We’ve been blessed with some good talent over here for a while now, just haven’t won the big one.

Wrh beat NE easily when they played that’s the only story I know we won and took the ship!!
Were you at the WRH-SWO game this year? I didn't see you that night. We had an open date and I went and sat with dogs79. We had an open date that night and everything that could go wrong for us had up to that point. I really thought our season was ruined. 0-3 including a tough loss to Croatan had me reeling. Coaches were telling me once we got everyone back it would look different. That was so hard to see at the time. I sat with dogs79 and watched WRH run up and down the field on SWO. Since then we have gone 6-0 and look nothing like the team that started this season. Since that time we have scored 247 points and given up only 27 and in most all those games we had backups playing either before the half or right after the half. There has been no effort to run the score up on anyone. I'm extremely proud of the team we have. A good group of kids that have played hard and have done so without a lot of bad penalties. A couple of late hits out of bounds have been the worst thing we have had and they came from playing hard to the end. They were not violent hits well after the play type of calls. Our defense has been good. Nobody in our conference has been able to crack it. So for me its been a tell of 2 seasons really. Started off a nightmare with covid and the contact tracing issue's to where we are now.
But I'm faced with a dilemma also in this game. Of all the games I have been too and places I have visited I've never felt closer to a group of guys than all of you at WRH. I've sat with Coach Motsinger's parents and talked with them. Then later going to another game there and having his parents see me and come over to welcome me back are just things you don't pass off. Our Coaches know how I feel about WRH. They also know how important this game is to me. Do I want to beat you guy's? Hell yea!! When you get a chance to measure yourself against programs that have won several championships you have to look forward to it. So I'll tell you right now it could be a boring week here. I can't trash talk you guy's. I'm confident in our team and what our kid's can do. Forget our first 3 games. I should say forget Croatan and Havelock. We should have beaten both soundly. New Bern is another story. They have a lot of talent and just too much depth for us. But we are not the team now that even New Bern beat. I welcome the challenge coming up and it's going to be an interesting game. I look forward to seeing my pal's come to Vanceboro. I have not made my mind up if I will sit with you though. I have been on our sidelines all year and I'm not sure about changing that. I am a little superstitious.

I think you will enjoy eating seafood at Vera's. They do a really good job with it. I've already told them to get ready! I need to call Larry today and make sure he is coming. Game time is 7:30 so what time do you want to meet at Vera's? It's a 10 minute drive or less to the school. My wife needs to be at the gate by 6:15.

During the later rounds of the playoffs don’t expect to roll up those kind of points. It’s not the scoring thst will win its the defense thst will win
Wrh walked the dog on NE at NE that cold night. NE couldn't stop a nose bleed
I would like to see the bulldog defense blitz more often. They were aggressive during the Pinetown game which proved to be good. We held them to 8 points. Also I wish the kicker would have attempted a few field goal attempts during the season. I can see he is very capable. Could possibly make a difference at the end of a game.
I think most of the easy games are gone now.
