wrh struggled last week at laney score was tied at half it is painfully obvious that they miss glaspie and canady while ed blew out a richlands team that was supposed to be much improved according to some, is this the year ed takes down wrh again what say you?

i hope so but i expect a tough wrh team as usual.
Wrh had mistake filled 1st half last week, with a couple of fumbles and a punt return for the called back. It was a typical first half, first game performance. The 2nd half was a different story. The quarterback this yr will run or throw, which gives us another weapon. Our defense is once again stellar. I'm sure we is much improved. This game will be as it should be, a slobberknocker until the end. We have one the best kickers in the state, and I'm predicting he'll be relevant. Get there early, wrh 24-21

I think WRH finds a way to win this one. No doubt in my mind ED will give them a run for there money. Excited to watch.

U guys always have good kickers

I expect ED to hook those dogs to an ole fashioned plow and drag them up and down the field.

They might manage to score

ED 30
WRH 6

How about this number 37-15. That's WRH'S all-time record vs East Duplin. So if somehow y'all do win tomorrow night, you'll be just a little closer to halfway there. haha

i didnt make such a bold prediction. edpanther99 did. i think IF we do win, it will be a very close game.

I'm just having a little fun before the game fellas. I think it's going to be a good one. Both teams always look forward to playing each other and it's usually a tough hard fought game. Everything I've heard and read says y'all have a good team this year. I know your JV team was really good last year. I'm looking forward to it.

No way this game is decided early. WRH too well coached to get blown out, ED may have a top notch group this year but this game is going to be a FIGHT

i agree jeffriday. talent wise i think ED is one of the best teams in the area. the only thing im worried about at all is that over the last few years ED has gone from being a hardcore smash mouth team to being somewhat of a finesse team. some would even say soft. but starting midseason last year we started getting back to our smash mouth roots. if we (ED) continue that smash mouth approach i think this will be a very good game tonight. just like WRH, ED has plenty of weapons this year.

7:00 start?

I'm finally back on the board for the new 2016..My 3 cents worth says Wrh by 3 tds based on their defense..I know ED is very good and has a strong chance of playing for the 2 A title this year----but WrH is still another gear stronger right now.... If ED wins, they will more than likely win the Eastern 2a title if they don't get over confident... How focused and hungry is ED??????????????

Where you at 99? Lol. Was indeed a good game, until the end. Wrh played a little sloppy I thought, but Ed probably had something to do with that. Ed much improved this year, and should make a deep run in the playoffs. Nothing to be ashamed of!

No dog in this battle, but had a chance to watch this game with "Ninja". ED is going to give Northside a run for there money this year in the ECC, but in order to make it to the big show, they are going to have to be able to pass in 2aa football. I was fustrated with 4 minutes left down 10 ED showed zero hurry up offense. WRH is the better team from what I saw Friday, but ED is a team to keep an eye on.

honestly i wasnt too impressed with WRH and i still think ED is a better team as far as the players on the field go. we blew a lot of chances to not only beat WRH, but beat them by 2 or 3 TD's. i think we have a ton of talent this year, but without playing with any emotion or intensity, which is how we played against WRH, we wont beat the better teams out there. we just went through the motions all night and acted like we would rather be somewhere else. i also think one of the main differences in the game was coaching. WRH made key adjustments and we didnt. many times we passed when we should have ran, and vice versa. im no coach but i do know football.

This is what fustrates me about ED football throughout the years. They have big guys and speedy guys, the natural thing to do is run, but having the ability to pass is always crucial in big games. Either pass a little more or go with triple option. You will win a lot of games with ground and pound, but you also will lose the big ones. Sometimes you get into a shootout and ED will not win that game against a good team like WRH, Clinton, Northside or any team past the 2nd round.

I must have been at a different game than you. Ed has a good team, but it could have been worse than 17-7. Wrh has played sloppy in every game so far, shooting themselves in the foot time and time again. PENALTIES! Once we get in midseason form, and we will soon, all y'all doubters will see. Clinton's gonna be tough, and so is tarboro. Just win baby

i know WRH has a good team. im not saying they dont. but i still feel like we have the better team when we play aggresive and with intensity. again, thats just my opinion. im not saying im automatically right. on one occassion in particular we passed on first down when we had been having success running against the dogs. i understand mixing it up as superstar alluded to, but if youre moving the ball well on the ground, then keep running it. if you do decide to pass on first down, at least make it a quick short route with a high probability of completion. what did we do? we passed it across the middle right into the heart of the defense and got picked off. another thing, i know Coach Holley knows his football, but i think he and our other coaches need to do a much better job at motivating our players to want to play. too many times the last few years we just dont play with any kind of intensity whatsoever. its as if we're asleep on the field. thats not going to get it done against another good team. i hate to say it but against WRH we played kind of soft like we did early last season.

I'll have to agree olddog. Our dogs should be rolling soon. East Bladen will play tough also. Those from ED needs to be patient. We can see improvement in your team. Next year will be a whole new ball game with the new conference.I think Battle and staff will be fine.
