WNC Basketball Tournaments

MAC will be held at Asheville High. Men’s #1 seed is ACR, women’s #1 seed is McDowell. ACR and Erwin women will determine the 3A champion by who goes further into the tourney since they tied in regular season for 2nd and split their meetings this year. If weather is an issue and games can’t be played RPI will determine the 3A champion.
SMC is at Hayesville. Jv is monday, Wednesday and Thursday. Varsity quarterfinals were last night, semifinals Tuesday and finals Friday.
The WHC is being held at Mitchell High School. Both Mountain Heritage teams are in the Semifinals. The girls play Draughn and the Boys play Avery tonight!!!
What is the other semifinal Boys? I assume it’s Owen vs someone
Owen will be playing Draughn in the semifinal tonight for the boys bracket as well and Avery and Mitchell will be playing for the girls bracket. Currently Heritage girls beat Draughn and Heritage boys are beating Avery 27 to 6 with 5 minutes left in first half. Hope that was helpful!!
I left after the Mountain Heritage game at 6.30 so I have no idea. Im gonna make an assumption and say it's Heritage and Owen for the final in the boys bracket. I'd be surprised if that weren't the case.
Update on the brackets for WHC. Heritage will play Avery in the final for the girls bracket. Owen will play Heritage in the final for the boys bracket. Avery beat Mitchell 60 to 28 in semifinal. And Owen beat Draughn 70 to 50 in the semifinal.
