Some of us stick with our MA Bears win or lose , good season or bad. Some fad away if they for see a bad season coming on and come back when we are on top. again . You can tell who the real fans are !
I post the scores all way through the season and the playoffs. The Bears lost in the first round and I kept posting scores through the playoffs till Starmount Walkertown and any team in the 3 conferences I post scores for lost the last game and will do so this year.

If the Bears lose in the playoffs then I stand behind each and every one of these till the last team loses . We have been close and play these teams for years except Carver. Can't remember play them. May be wrong does anyone know.

East Surry - 49 - North Stokes - 0 - Final
Mount Airy - 7 - Walkertown - 35 - Final
WS Prep - 52- Atkins - 6 - Final
Forbush - 35 - Surry Central - 27 - Final
North Surry - 49 - South Stokes - 13 - Final
East Wilkes -24 - Wilkes Central - 21 - Final
North Wilkes - 7 - West Wilkes - 28 - Final
Ash County - 6 - Starmount - 16 - Final
Alleghany - 8 - Elkin - 0 - Final
West Stokes - 21- Carver - 20 - Final

DaddyDoug, minor correction: that's "Cherokee," the town. Cherokee County has 3 high schools and 2 football teams, Murphy and Andrews. :)

The East Surry-Mt. Airy gave this year will have very little impact on the conference standings this year, is that correct?

I remember Charlotte Catholic I believe Mustangs . We played there and it came a down poor that night. (rain)

East has secured at least a share...Bears win co-champs...Walkertown beats Bishop tri-champs....but East controls it...they win and its 1- East 2-Walker 3-MA

CC is the Cougars....Mustangs are Myers Park...that's where we played them that rainy night

I was wrong. I thought East had a lock on it.

I was talking about the Myers Park Mustangs game ? The Charlotte Catholic game was 85. I meant the Myers Park game being in the late 70s or very early 80s. I happened around the time Carroll Shular was shooting the muzzle each TD at the end zone because his wife set wife my ex and I in the stands. There son played on that team.I was not shooting pictures that night.Dinn't want to get my camera wet.It was mine not the papers.

Who remembers pig Bryant of Tuscola ,playoffs in Waynesville Tuscola . Cold cold night with field iced over. I think early 70s North Surry played at Pisgah the same night. Guess they called him pig Bryant because no one could hold onto him LOL
