EW is very young and will have to come out the gate making every tackle and every play and it could be a good game. If not it could be a blow out in WC’s favor. WC has played better competition and should have a better record than what they have. They will be looking for revenge for the embarrassment EW put on em’ last year! This would and could be the year to do it.
This could be one of the better games in the area this week. I give Central the edge over a young East squad.
This COULD be a good ball game. This is East first home game, as week 1 was supposed to be at home but moved to West due to field issues. The North game showed some potential to what this squad can be, however they could have scored 60-70 vs the 48. But with turnovers, sloppy pitches, busted plays, etc. held them back. IMO, this all comes from the lack of experience and the different style of offense. You simply cannot play like they did against North against better teams such as WC, MA, Starmount and expect to even be competitive. The good thing in all this is they are getting better, just not quite there yet IMO. WC wins by 2-3 scores. Hope im wrong.

I think that's a fair and probably correct assessment. WC should win this one, but East Wilkes will improve as the year goes. I think they will be good next year fighting with those Starmount and Wilkes Central teams.
Should be a fun game. Wilkes central has more raw talent but we know how that can go with them. They seem to be playing decent football this year and East is always gonna play hard no matter the circumstances. I’d say this is a good Wilkes county matchup this year
EW is really young and will play hard. WC will be by far the best team EW has faced. EW needs to keep the score respectable and play solid defense to keep it close. WC has a shot to win their conference as East Surry is not as strong and North Surry looks vulnerable as well this year. EW can and will continue to learn through hard work and growing pains as this game will prepare them for a very challenging conference with state champ Mt.Airy waiting in the wings along with very strong Starmount and Alleghany squads ready and waiting as well.
idk how accurate MaxPreps has been lately but both teams are young according to them. Should be an entertaining matchup.
Same as it's always been. Behind the stadium is permit parking only. Park out front at the student parking lots(upper and lower), usually ends up being cars out towards 268 as well. I have seen them use the practice field for parking before as well.
