Told some of you on this board that Central would win the game. Their Defense has been getting better and better by the week. Their offense is already solid.
Central has a new Coach with the last name of Compton who is only going to win for as long as he is there. He was the OC (offensive coordinator) at Scotland when they were making state title runs. He also won 2 state titles as the OC for Crest High the last two years. This is the main variable effecting Wilkes Central this year. It's not by accident. The new assistant coach they got in has some solid brain power and wins wherever he goes.

Yeah I saw the game and WC defense dominated the EW offense. Tell the coaches great game plan and execution. WC effectively won the conference title (as long as they win next week) with their 25-0 win over a 8-1 East Wilkes team last night. WC was well prepared.

Credit to WC. They beat Ew. However, one good defensive game out of the whole season doesnt mean you have a good defense. Lets not get it twisted. It was good enough to beat EW that night. Most of the night EW was in their own way. Coaches playcalling was pitiful for that game. Very uncharacteristic for Atkins. Everything they did played right into WC's hand..but EW still never really deviated from what was unsuccessful, as if WC was gonna give in.
