This again similar to when we had A and AA in each class and everyone got in!! You had teams at 2-8, and 3-7 getting into the Postseason which is what we will have I think with this format!!
"Problem" with that is it gets rid of a playoff round. And the association makes their money in the playoffs...so they kept it 6 rounds for the money while claiming the reason was it would keep things more competitive...which is a lie.32 in 1-7 and 16 in 8a would have been enough. Half the teams would still have qualified wouldn't need a bye unless you gave all 8a schools a bye so they could all finish same week.
Bring back the endowment game instead of adding a week to playoffs."Problem" with that is it gets rid of a playoff round. And the association makes their money in the playoffs...so they kept it 6 rounds for the money while claiming the reason was it would keep things more competitive...which is a lie.
I would imagine the NCHSAA is bloated and needs some trimming. Then they wouldn't need the extra round of money and could actually make playoffs something earned, not given.
Yeah I agree!! It's all too make money 💰Plenty of 2 win teams still made the playoffs the last 4 years.
All just a money scam
There are right at 390 football playing schools. If we had done 6 classifications, you would have had about 72 in each class, then 48 out of 72 making the playoffs would make sense.
It's the NCHSAA... They never make much sense LOLIf we had done 6 classifications, you would have had about 72 in each class, then 48 out of 72 making the playoffs would make sense.
What do charters have to do with that? There are right at 390 football playing schools.
So 288 of 390 schools or 73% should be in the playoffs? That does not make sense. 32 would be 192 which is over 49%.
Once again, the charter school fiasco causes chaos.
There are around fifty schools with no football program. The majority are charter schools and each year more are added that do not field a football team. What do charters have to do with that?
