Not even a glorified scrimmage. Andy Griffith would not be happy.

Now the players did their part. They all played hard. And you have to love the game if you play for Graham and have no chance at all of achieving even a smidgen of success. What a tough year for a once great football program and town.

Pitiful crowd. I counted about 150 total with slightly more Reidsville fans. Heck, only seven Reidsville cheerleaders made the trip. And you got to hand it to them, doing their best all game long trying to generate what little enthusiasm there was.

And White Hat did his part, waiting for up to a full minute at times to start the 25 second clock.
With about 4 minutes left in the game (running clock since the second quarter) it looked like he was trying to tell the Graham coaches that he was not going to start the 25 second clock and they could all just stand there until the game clock expired. Unfortunately they ran a play and the carnage continued.

Injury wise, the Rams lost Colby Johnson with an elbow injury. Hopefully it is not too serious and he can return soon. He is one tough kid and he goes all out on both sides of the ball. Need him healthy.

On a positive note, Reidsville's Zack Purdue (has missed many games with injury) was on the sidelines with his jersey on. Rams will need him on the defensive line if they are to make a deep run in the playoffs.

And YES they still have the $3 bbq sandwiches at the concession stand. So, the trip over was not a complete loss.

Oh, rambbq, hag said the last time in sat out in the rain was 2004. And it was nice up in that press box.

that Q sure was good. have been outside twice at carrboro but weather was nice. ha!

clock actually started running late in first quarter at reidsville's request we were told in press box.

BTW...any one got a score from Cummings-Carrboro game??....winner of that game will go to playoffs.....................Cummings was at home and a slight favorite

Conference championship showdown at Reidsville next Friday (if it doesn't rain) ... Cummings 3-0 vs. Reidsville 3-0.

Reidsville ran only 22 offensive plays in the game.
Total net yards: Reidsville 297, Graham minus 6.

Reidsville 215 yards rushing
Reidsville 82 yards passing

Travion Canada 2 carries, 84 yards
Kwame Davis 5 carries, 62 yards
Lionel Long 2 carries, 46 yards

Kyle Pinnix 5 of 6 passing, 67 yards, 3 TDs
Breon Pass 4 receptions, 47 yards, 2 TDs

Graham limited to 2 first towns

As sad as it was for winless Graham against Reidsville, not all of the Red Devil games were blowouts:
35-28 vs. East Chapel Hill
33-17 vs. Bartlett Yancey
21-7 vs. Cummings (fewest points allowed in a game)
29-14 vs. Southern Alamance (3-A Southern Alamance is 9-2)

winning easily seems to breed contempt and indifference....I know a school a few miles west of here that would love to have some blow-out wins (as far that goes, just wins).........................

You have to give some plaudits to the Graham players who stuck it out for the entire season and to the supporters who came to the game knowing what was about to happen.

I sat on the Graham side the second half and their fans were absolutely thrilled when they ran a kickoff back to the 45 and later got a first down.

big kick returns against the Rams seems to be the norm at least once a week this year.....could bite us in the butt come playoff time.........last two years the kick coverage was outstanding....this year......blehh.....................of course the good thing is....teams rarely score against Reidsville.....FIVE shutouts in the TEN games played so far...............

Uh, that return was against Ram players I didn't even recognize their numbers much less their names.

Breon Pass was in on the tackle though. Don't think I would have had him in there at mop up time on the kickoff.
