West Stanly brings in a very good running back. As long as WM stays healthy they will get better and better each week, their that kind of team, don't sleep on this group of young men! What do you guys think?

I think this is a tough game to call. Is WS that good. Or is SS that bad. I'm sure WM is good. Going to go with the warriors at their house and I don't have a clue what the score will be. Should be the best game in the area......
I don't mind picking a blowout Sway and I do when I truly feel that is the case. I hope WM wins by 7 td's. I put that as a mini-joke for Warrior Pride because I knew he would remember it. Last year was the biggest joke at their place I've seen in a long time to try and keep it close. A horrible holding call 25 yards behind the ball. A fumble that wasn't a fumble. A first down to keep a drive alive when the entire line was off sides and the center didn't even snap the ball. In the Oakboro football rule book, that is apparently an off sides penalty against the Warriors. It was hilarious.
I have heard from a few reliable sources on the west side of the county that WS is the real deal this year. One great rb, one good rb, one great wide receiver, a few good wrs, great linebacker, and really physical upfront with speed in the secondary. Oh and a great young coach. Could be an upset this week. I'm leaning toward a 35-24 WM win. If west brings their AGame and WM doesn't it will be 35-24 WS. Overall it's going to be a great game.
So, all of these "Great" players must be freshmen. Orrrrrrrrr, is it the returners from last year? I don't remember West Stanly beating West Montgomery last year. Go Warriors!!!
I remember the running back and the linebacker from last year. We will need to protect the football much, much, much better than we did last week and not be so flat-footed in the secondary. We take care of that, we should be fine.
West Montgomery will beat West Stanly. I expect a score of something like 42-20. West Stanly has improved but West Montgomery will still rule the roost in the YVC.
I kind of feel bad for West Montgomery because Albemarle is no longer a true rival. West Montgomery has the East Montgomery rivalry which has been dominated by West for the past decade. Maybe East, North Moore, and North Stanly can give West some healthy opposition this year.

West Montgomery was never considered a rivalry...at least not to us. We had some good games and I'm not taking anything away from West by no means, they have a really good program at this point....but until they start showing those rings...they will forever be "Little Brother" to us.
yeah...sway your so butt hurt the fall of Albemarle it's funny. yeah, congrats on your rings. enjoy them. you'll never see another one in ANY sport. I've said it before and i'll say it again. Albemarle benefited from a ton of players out of their school district to win the titles. why don't you post the overall w/l record in football of Albemarle since that cess pool opened?????

Your "rings" argument is laughable. Garinger also won a state championship back in the day but they don't go around beating their chests about it. They have lost their last 42 games. You are merely deflecting the fact that Albemarle is horrible once again. Talking about the past doesn't help, but really hurts the psyches of your players. The 75 fans in attendance will end up turning against the coach.
The pride that was once part of the Albemarle Bulldog football program has vanished. The fans no longer want to be part of the mounting losses. The super zealot fans love talking about "yesterday" because "tomorrow" doesn't look so rosy.
Try and follow the path of the classy Bulldog fans. Most of the Albemarle fans are good, wholesome people. Maybe someone like Bulldog Follower or Buddy Rich can be your mentor.
Yes WM has had an unlucky past in SC games. We know that and I know that. West is competitive and that's all that matters to me and everyone else within the community. Now as for tonight's game, stop #7! Lol Go Warriors safe travels everyone....

Just wanted to say that just getting to the championship game is quite a feat. We had some close tough games in the playoffs just to get there. Games we could have lost, but the gods were with us. It takes a very good team, kids that believe and also a little Luck. lol. Don't give up you will get there.

WMfans, I heard that WS had a lot of their guys sitting out with cramps. Including their stud RB and LB. RB sat out over 2 quarters and their kicker wasn't able to play due to another issue, which forces WS to go for two every time without their RB. Also I heard that they were first and goal 4 times and couldn't get it in, with no RB. Just trying to get an idea of how good WS is, talent wise. What was the facts?
The running back was out quite a few series. From what I do not know. They moved the ball well at times and were stopped as you suggest. I can't remember the exact number of times. I would offer an unqualified opinion that says that WS is definitely better than last year.
Is it safe to say that we are going to take it on the chin this week? AHS, that is.
If you are super young like everyone is talking about, I'm afraid so. West Stanly is no threat to the big boys in the 2A ranks, but they are above average around these parts.
