Hudl highlights are only part of the story, a brief point in time. I've seen numerous teams that were more impressive than their highlights. Speaking of Walkertown, they were much more impressive last year in person than their highlights suggested.

Everything is relative, but things such as blocking schemes can be seen.( although not a large sample size) Regular game tapes also dont show speed, if HUDL doesnt. Im sure if anyone sees Jo run away from EM dbs after that catch, they will know he is very fast. Also just watching his coverage skills on his highlight reel on maxpreps, shows real fast not to throw his way.

I agree that you can look at blocking schemes and indicators but when we were getting ready to play Starmount last year I checked them out on Hudl and it was not even close speed wise. They were way faster in person. I'm no coach so I don't matter anyway. It's just my untrained eye that I can go by.

I think West Montgomery and East Surry will be a battle. I think 1 of these 2 teams will be our next 1AA state champion. I don't know which way to call this game yet.
That would be a 3rd round matchup, there is a lot of football to play prior to that.

I think Walkertown could be a really tough out. They do not play the typical 1A schedule so there is no fear regardless of who they step on the field against. Will they be moving up soon?
Generally, anybody past the first round is a tough out. I can assure you that great 1A teams are not afraid of Walkertown or their 900 students or whatever it is either. I will say that if we are lucky enough to meet them this year, they will have our respect. That is the one things our guys probably did not give them last year because they were an unknown. That would not be the case this year. I hope we do play them because I want them coming in with a mind set on revenge. If we lose, we lose. Its happened before. But, playing the fiercest competition possible is a must.
