Good matchup for the Warriors. Glad to have JM back on the non conference schedule. I hear they run the ball very well other than that I know nothing else. Thoughts?????? Predictions?????????

I talked to a father of a player from Jordan Matthews don't know his name ,but he said he thought they were not going to be very good ,said basically they had nothing much.

From what I heard, WM was pretty equal with Union Pines and Asheboro. I heard Asheboro was really good, big, and athletic. Jabr heard UP beat up on us, but I heard we played Asheboro dead even, who killed Unioin Pines. That concerns me. We have to turn it on all the time, not get into that trap of playing hard when we know we have better competition. That what got us in trouble last year. You have to turn it on and leave it on all the time to accomplish big things.

I've heard JM runs the Wing T and runs off the corners with pitches and misdirection. Not much up the middle. This should be a good test for our outside linebackers. If I'm not mistaken when WM played this group in JV it was one of the best matchups I've ever seen! Should be a great game and a great test for WM. Maybe we will actually see what WM will have this season. They didn't show a lot in the scrimmages.

JM was at the scrimmage in tville this past Friday, and they have some good sized boys, and several athletes that are very capable of making plays, this should be a very good game.

WM is focused on JM.... The JM crowd isn't what it used to be. I have looked on the 2A board a few times and no mention. Glad to see that the online version of the local paper finally mentioned WM.... Congrats to Goforth. Haven't had a chance to see the preview issue yet. I will later tonight. But as a grass roots effort it's past time to use that thing for what it's worth..... What a joke.

WM 28 JM 7

Still working some off season jitters out and JM has ALWAYS played WM tough.

Wow, the Warriors struggled against Asheboro and UP? Both those teams must have improved because neither has done anything in years.

The triple option is hard because it requires excellent decision making on the part of 16 year olds. It takes time. West has not been world beaters in scrimmages or the first couple of games over the last few years. Tonight will be the best test to see how they are coming together as a team.

Good times, Asheboro is flat out loaded and Union Pines had their best record in years last year and are supposed to have a pretty good squad this year. WM will be fine and more than likely be sitting at 11-0 when the playoffs begin.

I had the pleasure of looking at the Local Paper from back in 2009 when some of my buddy's were seniors. I did like that they got a spot to themselves. Other than that I couldnt tell much difference between then and now except maybe better pictures now. Hope to see the local guy at JM tonight! Maybe he can answer some questions or take some advice from us know it alls!

Just found this sit look forward to supporting the Warriors this year. Hope the weather is nice tonight as I will be making the trip to Siler City with my family in tow. It is awesome to see this old rivalry rekindled. Since this is my first post, this might've already been said. Either way, GO WARRIORS!!

JM has no JV team, but I heard the JV's played Salisbury instead and beat them pretty good. Had a kid with 5 td's. The train keeps rolling!

Welcome nightmoves!

I thought JM wanted it more. Hats off to them. That part was disappointing. I can understand game 1 sloppiness, penalties, and turnovers, but not the lack of excitement. Our boys can't just show up and expect to win against everyone you play. That type of attitude ended the season on a sour note last year and could do the same this year. Time to get to work.

I got that same vibe. I hate that Mateen got knocked out of the game. I thought WM would flat take over after that point. JM's backup QB played fairly well considering the circumstances. I was pleasantly surprised with JM overall.

West will be A-OK. I think tonight was a wake-up call for them. Highly impressed with Jo Leake. That kid's a darn good athlete.

I was impressed with JM too. Absolutely impressed. That was really just what WM needed. I'm sure Coach E has the cure we need to get us on track.

I'm sure practice for WM will be interesting this week. They have got to find that Fire and gel or it's going to be a short Post-Season! O-Line was not blocking at all! I thought that would be our strong point this season but they looked slow! Nobody looked like they even wanted to play except Tezz and Dozier! Lomax and Leake played great too but the blocking has got to get better!

Yes, It is hard for 5 players to block 8 or 9 players. That's what it looks like when the other team stacks the box. I'm sure adjustments will be made for that inevitability because it won't be the last time we see that. The adjustment last night was to go to wildcat and jam it down their throat which worked pretty well. But, we can't do that all the time. Or maybe we can, who knows. The more I think about it, this game reminded me more of the 3rd game last year, Rockingham County. We moved the ball that game but stalled out just before scoring just like last night. And this JM team was much, much more talented than Rockingham was last year. I think everything is going to be just fine.
