WC offense is their weakness. Contain and don't get caught over pursuing. They have the athletes to add a defense and special teams score as well. Adapting to the cold will make any passing that much harder.Erwin will have trouble on defense. Their offense is very good with a big line, steong armed QB and fast RB, but their Achilles heel has always been there defense even though it's improved this season.
What does the student population have to do with it? Erwin's one defeat came at the hands of Mountain Heritage, a 1A school.I would think West Charlotte would be a heavy favorite. Erwin has had a great season and do have some weapons, not sure if they have enough for West Charlotte though. The fact that WC has over twice as many students to choose from makes a difference as well.

We had a student pop of 1,400 when the last classification was done. In fact, we don't even have 2,300 now, it's about 2,000. The CMS Athletic Director added 300 to the number for potential student body growth that will probably occur over the next 4 - 5 years.Think he was just pointing out that WC has 2300+ kids and will be 8a(highest qualification) next year but yet playing in 3a
