Lets hear some thoughts and predictions. As for WRH they lose Dalrymple, Dobson and a few others but have plenty of Talent coming back. If they can get the qb situation straightned out they should contend again for the conference title. I expect Clinton and ED to be there as well. Will Midway make the leap this year?

Still trying to figure out what went wrong in Wallace this year. All signs pointed to a really elite team. Next year could very well be a repeat of this season for ECC. ED is iffy, but they have so many really good rivalry games on there schedule, and seem to always win one or two of those, but fade out early in playoffs. Clinton, they played most of the year without there best player, and still blasted through ECC last year.

ECC needs an appearance in the finals soon. Wallace's last state title is feeling like awhile ago.

Cant speak for the rest,we lose a great group of seniors but cupboard definitely far from being bare.....return both QBs(King,Smith) a Top WR in Kesean Williams 3-4 big offensive linemen with game experience and teams 2nd leading rusher in Davion "Boogie" Smith.....defensive line will have to be rebuilt only 1 or 2 i believe returning the younger Wilson brother and Westerbeek return at LB and have 3 returning in the secondary.....despite the JV being down we had alot of sophomores and a freshman play meaningful snaps on varsity so im optimistic about the future. Coaching staff have a really well thought out offseason program and you can see the effects it has on the kids. Clinton will be in the mix once again come August. And remember the name Landen Pearson youll be hearing it alot over the next 4 years may not move up right away football wise but BBall coach already has the incoming freshman penciled in on varsity

Dont underestimate ED. They got some kids coming back. It's a long way to go, alot can happen. I just feel like ED has a leg up on role players as it stands right now. That's why High school football is the greatest sport in the world, kids become leaders and you see teams gel right before your eyes.

WRH and ED will be very good and both will be reloading with pieces from very good JV team this past year....like i mentioned above we return alot of key pieces QBs,RB,WR a couple OL,LBs and Secondary my biggest area of concern will be how the DL turns out.....i believe as far as conference goes the top 3 remain the same actually wouldnt be surprised to see a situation like in 2018 when all 3 beat each other atleast once....also believe a possibility that Midway could make a move similar to this season

Coach Dempsey has been here 5 years, 4 playoffs and 2 East Div appearances. I believe it took Coach Padgett a few more than that. But Like Phil when he gets it going it will be good. Maybe starting in 2020.

Clinton will be in the best position to win the conference. ED will be a close second and definitely have a chance. JK will be in absolutely no position to contend for 3rd or even 4th to be honest. Goldsboro has a good shot at finishing top 3. Midway probably will be at the same level they were last season but wouldn’t be shocked to see regression out of them. Now onto your very bold WRH claims. WRH has lost their edge and 3rd 4th place will be their ceiling next season. I highly doubt that they recruit. Roberts is fast but he was not very impressive this past season so to make the claims best in the conference, East, etc are a very far stretch. The RB from Clinton coming back is just as good possibly better than Roberts. WRH will not sniff the 3rd round so to say Eastern Final and State Championship has given me a good laugh this morning.

Swo has never beaten reidsville in a championship. You did beat Reidsville in 2000 in the 3rd round.

JK has been losing players to WRH and other schools for the past few years. If he is displaced because of Hurricane that’s a very tough situation and if the family wants to continue carrying him to WRH that’s their child and their decision to make. One RB wouldn’t make a difference.

This isn’t Texas. I don’t believe that there is any form of recruiting in PUBLIC high school football in Duplin County. Private is a completely different story.... if a kid ends up leaving a school and going to play for another one I like to believe that is a decision made by the parent. These are high school kids the only recruiting should be done by colleges, not other high schools. If a parent makes a decision for what they believe is better for their child that’s on them.

I think it’s a bit early to say WRH has lost their edge. Now if what happened last year happens again this year, well you may be on to something. Players can be a little fragile after a couple of sub par years.

I am hoping JK gets rolling again. As a SE North Carolina fan, I love it when Clinton, WRH, JK, and E Duplin are strong. Throw SWO in there even though they are not ECC and it makes for some awesome Friday nights.

I think head coach in Teachey looking to get head d coach and him being head coach. I think if coach Mots instills a highly motivated positive environment and it's his team, the bulldogs can win the conference.

Yes losing DE/DT #88 Jatiyuhn Wilson will hurt alot such a great player really enjoyed watching him the last 3 years aswell as all our seniors
