You were held scoreless for all but 4 minutes of the game. Let’s be real here.
It wasn't because of what ED was doing though. I was at the game and I saw Clinton the week before against WRH. I don't know how many illegal procedure penalties Clinton had but I would guess over a dozen. The darkhorses may not agree but I didn't see any called that I thought were bad calls. Movement on the line and it has to be called. It was just one of those nights that nothing went right for them. I wondered if they were still mentally celebrating beating Wallace Rose Hill. Sometimes a big win like that will carry over and they don't have the same focus. They were flat as could be. Not throwing off on ED but they did not play the same team I saw the week earlier. No where close.
there werte alot of issues going on Friday for the Horses. ED I think they will even admit does not have the team they had last year. I would say WRH should win in their game against ED.
ED ran into a totally different Clinton team that night. But Clinton's D held ED's offense to 12 points. Yes, ED won, but all I was pointing out that there was no 'dismantling' going on. ED's offense was not stellar, they just capitalized off Clinton's mistakes, like any decent team would.
Lets also be real here.....any team without its #1 back and atleast 20 penalties 18 of them on offense is going to struggle....you won 19-6 not 50-6 be happy bout the win but please a "dismantling" it was not....congrats on the win but dont let it swell your head up

No matter who wins this weekend, none will get a number 1 or 2 seeding most likely. But Jk Clinton ED & Wrh should all make the playoffs and ED should not face the other 3 again this year as ED should be the only 2AA team. Sadly the other 3 will probably end up knocking each other out of the playoffs. I still say the ECC is the Best conference in 2A football and all of the top 4 can beat the other on a given night. These 4 could very well get high seeds and burst a lower seeds bubble in the coming weeks. It will be an interesting weekend for sure. Hoping for a Clinton win and an ED win
Yeah, I'm afraid you're right that the rest of the ECC may end up knocking each other off at some point, which is unfortunate. Good luck to the Panthers in AA.
I'm on call so I can't go out of town. I'm hoping work will allow me to watch our game with DH Conley. It's meaningless out of conf but we didn't want to lose the gate so we rescheduled it for this week. We play North Lenoir tomorrow night.
Last year we all said this game should be played last, and this year we got it,ECC fan classic for most of the marbles. Got to go down to the end. The dogs looks like favorite,but we going to get the Panthers best game. Always do. This game, I will not put money on.
I'm really surprised that this game is not getting more hype. Two great programs playing for share. First of all ED is going to almost sell out to stop the run. I think Adam should open up the offense early,but will have to sustain drives. Then I think, if we can run on Clinton we can run on ED. I think Adam is constantly learning,and I think our offense will get a rythym early and take DC chamionship back. I can't see ED offense scoring enough.
Well dogs79 call Adam and tell him to please pass on 1 down change up the offense some!!
I'm just arm chair coach. No way I could get that out of those young men. I'll talk junk and act like I know. I agree with you,we need to pass when we want to.
Just like the jk game, if we don't play sloppy, we win. This offense starting to look like last years at this time. They'll only stop themselves with stupid penalties. Sloppy play can bring us down, as with most every team. This team can pass and run effectively and the drive for five is definitely on! Wrh 38 Ed 28
Well ED had Clinton's QB running for his life so if we do that we take away from your air attack or possibly slow it down. Our run defense is stout as usual.
26 juniors on our varsity this year and a championship jv squad! Bodes well for the future! Congrats jv dogs!

Glaspie is too talented to be at Fayetteville State. Looks like he has D1 talent but idk if any school would take him.
Sometimes even with D1 talent, lots of other variables play into a players' decision to stay at a school. Get in where you fit in.
28-20 final. Score was closer than it should have been. Refs kept ED in the game . Dogs had 3 tds called back but at the end of the night the dogs are Co ECC champions. Not bad for a supposed rebuilding year.
Well I can't believe it, the refs were horible ,good game.bulldogs ,fake holding calls what!!Clinton fans I see what yall were griping about the refs at ED..3tds called back..it's all good ,the bulldogs win!!
Yep. They were holding us all night, and tonight we only had ONE false start......
Lol and they thought we were just complaining for nothing.
