Third week in a row and we gotta shut you up again.
Clever move there Mule to cite the first gap and not the 31 year gap, just to invite our response.
You clearly knew of the dismal 31 year gap.
Besides you are incorrect on the early gap as you won in 1963. Are you playing the senility card? Not buying it. You have been way more passionately posting this year than recently.
So stand by to be schooled….again.
This week in the NCHSAA 4th round playoff report attached;
NCHSAA chooses on their own to cite records since 1972.
Shelby is playing in the fourth round for the 24th time and was last here in 2021 on the way to its 12th state title.
Reidsville is in its 19th fourth round.
Reidsville has 9 state titles.
While citing records from 1972, the NCHSAA chooses also to ignore and not include Shelby 72-76 playoff records or Championship titles in the WNCHSAA in 1972, 1975, and 1976, or three additional ones.
But there is more in the report attached;
Last 50 years, since 1972, again ignoring Shelby in 72-76;
Playoff appearances 40
Wins 116
Losses 27
Winning percentage. .811
Reidsville
36. 91-27-1 .765
Cut and past?
Historical facts.
Shelby’s last 50 year dominance is clear to any objective review.
There is no manipulation of the numbers required.
And evenly spread over the years with multiple titles and appearances and a minimum of one State Championship in each of the last seven decades.
Whether we meet this year or not, win or lose, it does not significantly affect what Shelby has already established.
The Shelby Golden Lions are the most successful, sustained, winningest high school football program in North Carolina.
Any claim that Reidsville football is superior or even equal to Shelby is a fraud.
