It doesn't matter. Is painful as it is to say, it would not surprise me in the least if my bulldogs didn't even field a team next season. Visit the stadium and campus, it's a pitiful sight. Although never a top contender, we once had the potential to be competitive. I believe those days are gone until some major changes take place within our administration and athletic department.Bear Bradley will be an assistant at Grimsley. WHat's next for the Bulldogs?
Why is yals wrestling program so good because that coach has to deal with the same administration and community? And they are top contenders in 2a.It doesn't matter. Trinitys HS wrestling coachs have a youth wrestling program and network that is pretty strong and good in numbers. As far as football in the area it is BAD. There is 1 travel organization (wardogs) and they only field 1 team each for 6U 8U 10U 12U and no Rec leagues so there is not much of a feeder program. The basketball and football programs are in a serious downfall. Why is yals wrestling program so good because that coach has to deal with the same administration and community? Trinity wrestling is pretty much a year round deal and they are very well coached, organized and have a solid middle school feeder program. Wrestling is their best sport and most of those good wrestlers do not play football. I heard the lost 18 seniors or something like that and the JV was bad. Probably a good time for Bear to leave and go try and get a ring in 4A as an assistant coach.Trinitys HS wrestling coachs have a youth wrestling program and network that is pretty strong and good in numbers. I have always thought the campus at Trinity was a thing of beauty, with the beautifully landscaped areas, especially around the swimming pool area and the outside commons areas. It has been decades since being in Trinity, but is the pool still there ? As far as the football stadium, it has that Fenway Park feel and the " please paint me " vibe, but the baseball field is another deal. Again, it has been decades, but that baseball field makes a cow pasture desirable. I was pondering over an idea to make Trinity, Wheatmore, and High Point Central one faux type school. The new school could be called Trinmore Central, and the baseball team could play in the fancy High Point Rockers stadium in downtown High Point. The students could attend their schools, because Trinmore Central would only exist in the record books, etc., mainly because it wouldn't be a " real " school. Perhaps bring back Brad Hurley and Gary York . ex Trinity ballplayers , and let them be the athletic directors with an exuberant office in one of those big shot furniture buildings. It doesn't matter.
