For Monroe to almost beat a good 4A Porter Ridge team who's power rating would have them ranked 5th in 2A is still pretty good. They may not be the best in the west but they're still very good. I put out my top 10 this week since it was midway through the season.

Porter Ridge is 4A and took TWO other 4A title contenders to the wire. Hickory Ridge is a 3rd or 4th round play off team and Cardinal Gibbons is current 4A champion.
You're still not used to being 3rd to 4th best in the west. Dont worry you guys will get used to it eventually.

you all out east always think you can beat better teams out here with your 1980s football schemes, until the title game. ED has always been humble, so by your name I'm guessing your a JK fan. How about you worry about JK getting into the playoffs before you go riding on ED's back messing up their heads.
You cant bring this kind of audacity when your team can't get into the play offs.
It's like the only team out there that has learned to pipe down is Clinton. Wallace needs about 2 more beat downs to get it. Whoever ya'll send they'll get the message sooner or later.
I am very interested to see how East Duplin matures during the remainder of the season since they have changed the offense quite a bit. Last year their grinding running game limted possessions and made each possession critical and pressurized. (Example. WRH had 2 possessions in the first half last year).
Will the East Duplin passing game and their defense be good enough to account for the extra possessions. The coaching staff is excellent so I have to trust them.

Parkwood impressed me last night, beating Indian Land on the road. A previously undefeated IL at that. Huge game at Forest Hills next week. It’s also FH’s Homecoming. Will be a good gate.
